Wonderful food and service! - Edit
The person who took our order happened to be vegan and helped us choose from the various vegan options. It was all delicious authentic Israeli food. My favourite was probably the levivot/fritters but it was all fresh and flavourful. We're keen to return when we're up north again!

Super healthy food - Edit
Been here quite a few times, always enjoy the falafel, salad and the soups. And of course coffee. The falafel has the most amazing texture and taste compared to other cafes that offer it. The rice dishes are incredible too with the spices mixed through. I would leave a 5 star review but the restaurant does offer meat dishes so happy Cow won't let me do that. Very highly recommended

Great Food, vegan options on the menu - Edit
Tasty food and good service. I liked the interior of this small restaurant. Good coffee also! I've had a flat-white with soymilk. The falafel texture is super!

Best falafels in NZ - Edit
Finally found spectacular falafels in NZ! So good! I hadn’t ever had levivot before, and that was a great find as well. I just wish this place was located in Wellington or Auckland so that I could have it other than when I’m on holiday in the Northland.

Vegan options - Edit
This restaurant has options that are either already vegan or can be veganised. Pita bread with hummus, falafel, dukkah, and best of all, levivat- spicy veggie fritters. Mains served with rice, hummus, tomato relish, pita breads and salad. It was no trouble asking for vegan options. We were made to feel welcome. Recommended.

Awesome falafel - Edit
This place had great fresh falafel. We ordered the Pita falafel which is the smallest (and cheapest) option on the menu. It was small, we had to order a 2nd serving... which was then more than enough. To make it vegan we had to have the yogurt remove.
Read moreThe place was in a lovely setting, it was in a small-ish courtyard along with other restaurants. The courtyard is covered in grape vines which closes the otherwise open roof.
Pros: Great falafel, Lovely setting
Cons: A bit on the pricey side

Awesome falafel is an unexpected spot - Edit
The falafel plate was really good- really fresh and crispy falafal. The falafel dishes are really your only option (I was informed that the other vegetarian dish is made with egg), but it's so well done, you wouldn't want to get anything else.
Read moreOften when traveling, subpar falafel is your only choice in a small place, and you're settling just so you don't starve. So I want to stress that this is falafel worth eating!
Let the staff know that you don't want the yogurt sauce, and they will substitute it for something else. The staff was really help when answering my questions and accommodating my diet.
Pros: Amazing, fresh falafel, Nice outdoor or indoor seating, Helpful staff
