The starters were great and the mains also were delicious. Friendly stuff and nice atmosphere! Only one vegan choice for the main but you can order the pasta oriental without meat - then it's vegan!

I was really impressed by the tacos and guacamole - they had a lot of flavour and were filling! I also thought the price was okay, $120 for the tacos and $90 for the guacamole, plenty for two people. Friendly and accommodating staff 😊

Read moreWe had the al pastor vegan tacos. They weren't bad, but we have had MUCH better. They were a little bland, and very small. (For comparison, I have written other reviews, with photos of far far better vegan tacos).
They were expensive for what they were, although the location and restaurant atmosphere was nice.
Not somewhere we'd go back to, unless really limited for vegan options.

They served fast and very courteous.

Es un sitio muy acogedor, con personal muy amable y varias opciones veganas en el menú. Todo lo que probamos nos gustó muchísimo y de precio nos pareció más que razonable. Los tacos, el guacamole y el hummos estaban muy ricos. Muy recomendable, de las mejor es opciones en Palenque.

Things are tagged as veggie and vegan on the menu. Everything is pricey. I asked the waiter if they could make the falafel tacos vegan, he didn't get what I said and claimed they were. They weren't (as stated on the menu as veggie) but came with some kind of yoghurt. We also had the ceviche which was pretty good. Furthermore we ordered an extra of frijoles with tacos, we forgot to mention anything, so they came with some cheese on top. Overall not too bad. Food was yummy. But kind of expensive

The tacos are very delicious! Unfortunately the burger and the falafel wrap are not longer vegan. But they have a few other options and the setting of the restaurant ist very nice

There aren't a lot of options listed on the menu for vegans however they are more than happy to customize items. They made enchiladas with mushrooms which were delicious. They also have soy meat they can use for some dishes. I have eaten here several times during a few trips and it's always been good. They no longer have the falafel or burgers. Juices and smoothies are great, try the Reina Roja!

De las pocas o nulas opciones par a veganos que encontramos en Palenque, no sorprendió el lugar ya que pudimos veganizar algunos de sus platillo vegetarianos los cuales de sabor estaban muy buenos. Lo recomendaría como una opción que nos saque dle apuro a los veganos.

Tourist place no real local flare. There were few veggie items on the menu. I ordered a falafel burger thinking it was safe as it was marked vegetarian. It tasted ok, wasn't special.
Read moreI ate at 8pm and around 1am, I woke up in extreme gastro pain and sat on the toilet the next 6 hrs. I have a meat allergy and I have this reaction when something contains meat or is cooked with/in meat. Clearly there was meat contamination on the meal.

This is on 'Cañada', which is the tourist strip, so expect tourist prices. Some vegetarian options. Like most places here, making it vegan requires ordering one of the few veggy options 'sin queso'

As I was there the waiter asked the chef 2 times about any vegan options and unfortunately he told me that they can't prepare any vegan meals right now as they don't have the ingredients. They have plenty of vegetarian options, but no vegan options as f.e. the bread, pasta, etc. has or milk or eggs.

They do not have any ‘official’ vegan options, but where open to make me one. In the end I had quesadillas with mushrooms and beens without cheese. Was good but not a lot. Had some delicious fries (ask for another dip, normally it’s mayonnaise) afterwards.

I only give 3 stars because this is the only real option for vegans who would like to spend the evening in a nice place in Palenque, I think. Jade Café is indeed a nice place with outdoor seating in a bamboo construction, nice drinks and atmosphere. But the food…didn’t really convince! One day I had the falafel burger which was very dry and tasted a bit strange. The other day I had a salad with an additional portion of quinoa – the salad was very bland as the dressing came in a very small portion. Only went there the second day, too, because the other restaurants in the area were really hopeless – either they had a vegan dish on the menu that wasn’t available "on that day", or they don’t have anything on the menu and seemingly weren't willing to understand what vegan is and to accommodate to vegans.

Probably the healthy spot in town. Had a salad without cheese and added the quinoa. It was a good portion and tasty. On the more expensive side, but it's not like we are drowning in options in Palenque. I was happy to pay for something good.
