Came here for an early dinner without a reservation and were able to get a table outside. Service was prompt and friendly.
Read moreThey had a whole page titled vegetarian with 2 different curries, a brewbee malt slice dish (made from spend grains, upcycled), spaetzli (vegetarian), and a vegetable platter with your choice of carbs (rice, rosti, spaetzli, gratin).
We ordered the brewbee and the spaetzli. The sliced brewbee malt slices are reminiscent of maybe gluten based products - nice chew but there is a notable taste. The dish also came with orichette pasta and marinara sauce.
For dessert, they bring out a platter of choices. We tried their plum cake (not vegan) which was surprisingly light and not too sweet.
We would recommend this place and would come back next time.

Yummy vegan tortellini and friendly staff! - Edit
Very accommodating for vegans. Although they have only one main dish as a vegan option, they are open to adjust other dishes. Nice outdoor seating in the most beautiful part of the village Appenzell.

Serves meat, vegan options available. Came here of the back of other reviews. Had 2 vegan options available, Tortellini and Latino Burger. Went for the first and it was very tasty. Nice restaurant with great service.

I enjoyed the vegan dish, which was quinoa-spinach ravioli with a tasty tomatoe sauce. The staff is nice and professional, although I don't fully understand why they demand money for the tap water.
