Vegan cute resto. Attn! Name changed! - Edit
Super cute. Delicious meal. Edited...not fully vegan 😒😒😒. Carries cow milk. Name is now Lewis, so just be aware of the name change. Super worth going to. Along the water and very yummy. Very good coffee. First time I tried macadamia milk. Very good!

Went there today and was told it was all vegan by the staff. Had a very good meal and brownie, decent coffee. When ordering the coffee though I noticed they carry cow's milk! I informed the person on staff they shouldn't call themselves vegan then... Seems dishonest (she said their Instagram says vegan/vegetarian, but I don't have Instagram. So.). She did confirm all the food is vegan, however.

Comme nous étions passés au dep Frida 3 jours plus tôt, nous avons décidé d’essayer le café Frida. Sauf que ça a changé de nom. Ça s’appelle Café Lewis (même si l’enseigne Frida reste au dessus de l’établissement). C’est toujours vegan. On a mangé un excellent bol bahn mi et un fabuleux crunch wrap.

Canteen with good ambience - Edit
We went by car and missed the place in the GPS. Actually it was just right at the corner of the crossroad, by the river. It could be a challenge to find a street parking.

Food was good, price acceptable. The full portion lunch was a bit too big for me and i asked for a box to bring back the other half of the wrap.
I wish they have more selections in the menu and have a kids menu too.
However after having to eat pizzas for 2 days at the restaurants without vege options, I am just super grateful to have a "real" place to eat.

Cosy Cafe in Trois-Rivieres - Edit
A fully vegan cafe right next to Saint Lawrence River. The cafe has a cosy atmosphere, with a menu in English for the non-french speakers. We ordered the "Snack" as a starter and the "Weekly Dish" as the main. The Weekly Dish was Mac and Cheese, with topped with facon. The facon was more of a paste/liver paste. The cheese was cashew based. It was good, but I wish it had more cheese in the dish or some other sauce. For dessert, we order a chocolate cookie and brownie. The cookie was good, but nothing special (just a normal cookie), the brownie was good but dry.

Bright, airy restaurant by the riverside serving delicious vegan food and drinks, including brunch on the weekend. I highly recommend the seitan buffalo wings w tater tots & the eggplant parmigiana burger w kale Caesar salad. The portions are filling without being overly large. Nice selection of private import wines. Quick & friendly service.

Read moreSmall menu, but tried a few things. The buffalo cauliflower bites were amazing, but the pâté dish (can’t remember name) was really not nice. Maybe personal preference though.
Good selection of alcoholic drinks and some sweet treats as well. Had the brownie but was a bit dry.
Overall positive experience though.

Read moreI had the waffle and my spouse had the bagel with jam. The food was good, but not great. The fruit on our plates was kind of mouldy… I’m okay with not wasting food and eating apples with bruises and stuff, but bits of the strawberries were black…
For drinks, we both got iced lattes, they were excellent.
The last issue is the menu: there aren’t a whole lot of breakfast options during the week and it’s not clearly stated on the menu what is available and at what time.

First of all, the view from the patio is great. Then the food is nice. I wanted to try the nachos but they were out of it, so we tried the pas-poulet (18$50 withtout taxes) and the poutine (15$ without taxes). The pas poulet was really good, the texture and sauce was tasty. But it was really fat and the portions were big, so even by sharing it with my gf I wasn't hungry for the poutine anymore. The poutine was just ok, I expected better and I think it would be better with vegan cheese instead of tofu (it had no taste). The other dishes seemed yummy. Will come back if I have the chance.

We had the pas poulet (non chicken) with fries, waffles with maple syrup and fruit, and got a variety of cookies to go. Everything was super tasty, a wonderful hearty meal for a cold rainy day.
