Serves meat, vegan options available. A number of items on the menus may be made vegan-friendly including breakfast board, açai bowl, coconut chia pudding, corn and zucchini fritters, pan fried mushrooms, smashed avo bruschetta, roast veg salad, chips, etc. Lots of fresh juices. Well informed staff - ask.

A bit disappointed - Edit
The food was ultimately nice, but paying $27 for two pieces of toast with tomato salsa and avocado felt a bit rough, especially when it originally had halloumi which needed to be removed but nothing to replace it and still charged full price.
Read moreMy partner had a pineapple smoothie which was quite good and my iced latte was yum, and we weren’t charged extra for plant milk.
There were three items on the breakfast menu labeled VGN however only one was vegan without modification. And we were talked out of getting the breakfast board made vegan by wait staff, saying that we may as well either get the chia pudding by itself or the avo toast by itself.
Anyway, staff were friendly and the atmosphere was really nice.
Pros: Drinks were good, Food was fresh
Cons: Felt ripped off, Menu misleading

Very nice salad - Edit
Having previously caught our eye, we decided to finally give Cafe Fresq a try. I had the soba noodle salad (which was very tasty), a juice of the day, and a coffee. The place was quite busy (which is always a good sign) but the staff were very attentive and the food came out quite quickly. Will be back to try one of their other vegan options.

Happy with the vegan options. I had the warm vegetable salad which was nice but a bit oily. Family disappointed with fish and chips.

Açai bowl - don’t do it - Edit
Seriously had one tiny half wedge of kiwi and a single half wedge of orange with the açai blend and small amount of granola. The lack of fruit was very poor form considering the tropical location and cheap prices of tropical fruit up here.
Read moreAçai was blended with other berries, nothing special there.
Wouldn’t exchange granola for a bit more fruit (at time of ordering) when advised of an allergy, which seems the usual, having had many many bowls.
Coffee and juices were also very average for the price.
Pros: It’s in Port Douglas
Cons: Not many vegan options, 2 maybe?, Very poor bowl, lack of fruit+++ , Don’t care about your allergies

Friendly staff and plenty of choice - Edit
I found lots of options at Cafe Fresq: a number of things on the menu could be easily vegan-afied and the staff were very helpful. Fritters were delicious, coffee tasty and the staff very helpful.
