Super friendly helpful staff in a lovely little cafe with clearly marked Vegan items on the menu & on the glass counters. Not a huge choice but enough to go back for more. Tasty vegetable tart and beetroot wellington also tried the raspberry & frangipani slice cake all delicious.

Nice dessert - Edit
Went there for a drink and ended up sharing a vanilla cheesecake that was surprisingly delicious. They have vegan pastries too, chickpea one and sausage one. Tried the latter one and it was very good.

A nice cafe with several vegan options - Edit
They have several vegan options for take-away, both savoury (sausage rolls, tarts) and sweet (cake, pastries). The food tastes really nice and the staff are friendly and attentive. They have a wide selection of plant based milks and make really good coffee drinks. I recommend the coconut cappucino!

Pleasantly surprised - Edit
Went here cause we were craving some soup, and were pleasantly surprised by their selection of vegan options! They offer a few different sandwiches, vegan sausage roll, smoothies, cheesecake and more!
Read moreWe tried their soup of the day (that day was tomato and roasted bell pepper) which was nice. We also shared a sausage roll, a sourdough sandwich with apple chutney and vegan cheese and a smoothie.

Lovely cafe, disappointing breakfast - Edit
Lovely cafe but breakfast options very limited. All around us other customers were receiving plates piled high with eggs, but there was no vegan alternative. We asked for some mushrooms instead (not offered by the waiter), which they kindly agreed to but were fairly scant and underwhelming. Cakes, smoothies and coffees were good though!

A wee gem. - Edit
We had lunch today in this lovely cafe. A very good choice of vegan options. Soup was vegan, vegan sandwiches. We all had soup and sandwich combo which were fresh and delicious. There was a vegan main course option available. Choice of two desserts. Can vouch for vegan vanilla cheesecake, best cheesecake we have tried. Service efficient and friendly.

Super helpful - Edit
Stopped for lunch. A few vegan savoury and cake options in the counter and we decided on the soup and sandwich. Really super helpful staff member who checked and double check for us to make sure everything’s vegan. No idea why it’s got so few stars.

On the high street with outside seating and plenty of cosy seating inside.
Read moreThere were 2 vegan cake options and several savoury options when we visited. Also dairy free milk for coffee/tea and Alpro milkshakes.
The 60p surgage for d/f milk is a little steep.
Pros: 2 cake and several savoury options
Cons: 60p surcharge for d/f milk (for a splash 🤔)

Friendly service but only one vegan option - Edit
The chalkboard outside advertises vegan options but the only main course choice is a panini with hummus and tomato and a handful of plain tortilla chips on the side. It’s expensive for what it is but probably the best option in Pitlochry. The vegan lemon cake was nice and the service was very friendly, although slow.

Lifesaver although options could be improved - Edit
Covid-19 has affected all the restaurant vegan options in Pitlochry and after walking around the town twice was ready to give up but decided to ignore the mixed reviews on here for Cafe Calluna and give it a go.
Read moreWe were grateful that they had 2 options. We both had the humous and tomato paninis for £6.95 each but they also offered soup of the day (Tomato). They were pretty disappointing and had half a bag of crisps on the side. 4 plant milks were offered for coffee so we had oat lattes, which were ok but under extracted, so watery and sour.
For their credit they had one vegan cake option, lemon and coconut, which was delicious.
Pros: One of few places to still offer vegan locally, Great cake, Cosy cafe and friendly staff
Cons: Expensive, Very few options, Food presentation and quantity is poor

Nice cafe - Edit
We went in here for tea and cake but there was only one slice of vegan cake left sadly. Nice wee cafe though with plenty plant milks for your hot drink. Never tried any savoury options so can't comment on that.

No Breakfast - Edit
Just been there to have breakfast. When I asked what their vegan options were for brekkie she did porridge. So if you’re a lover of porridge, this might be right up your street. But if you’re after a wholesome breakfast, best jog on....

ok - Edit
If it was in a city it would struggle.
Read more8quid for baked tatties and beans is over the top, especially when it's microwaved.
Limited options, very limited. The soup, chillies was made with stock featuring milk. Such an easy change.
Credit to the staff who at least knew this and told me an d said they would make sure my side salad had no honey on it. A big positive.
Vegan carrot cake for dessert was the highlight.
Pros: staff, an option, cosy cafe
Cons: limited
