Update autumn 2022: the place is renovated, fast and friendly service again, all vegan options available, toast had more cheese than ever. Really good place for Saturday breakfast.

Update: last time I visited (summer 2021) the service was super friendly and really fast. I got vegan toast with cheese and really enjoyed it. So one more star to cafe cafe!

Service is extremely slow, waiters/waitresses make mistakes all the time and most of the vegan options aren’t available.
I visited several times tho cause this place has a good location and it’s open every day. Food is usually ok but service is awful.
Last time I got shakshuka that was tasty but where’s my protein, guys? Only vegetables, several pieces of mushrooms and bread. Hmmm 😒
It’s an option to visit if you’re in the area but better go elsewhere. And be ready if you take a seat here being hungry you’ll die from starvation before you’ll get your order.

I was wary of trying them out after reading the reviews, but wound up stopping in for dinner as a last resort after a long day. Ordered the vegan tortilla and Israeli salad, it was pretty tasty. The staff was a little stand offish at first but food arrived in under 10 minutes and wound up having a really pleasant chat with the waiter. Overall I was in and out pretty quickly and had enough food to box up with me.

I love Cafe Cafe! The service at this location is pretty slow, and they don't always have all of the options on the menu, but it is a great place to people watch outside, and the staff understand what vegan is.
