Organic raw vegan deliciousness! - Edit
The best raw vegan foods I’ve tried! Everything was fresh and delicious - I ate so much because I needed to try everything!
Read moreWe caught the ferry after a Valentine’s Day bike ride along the sea wall and although it was all healthy stuff, I’m pretty sure I consumed all the calories I had just burned!
I wish I could eat here everyday or have the chef live in! It was a pretty pricey bill but a lot of work goes into raw - soaking, sprouting, dehydrating etc and it’s very filling!
Pros: Everything tasted great, Lots of healthy options, Lovely location
Cons: Expensive

Absolutely my favourite vegan place in North Van. Maybe in all of the lower mainland. Super cute patio as well and fun groceries.

Small restaurant, big patio - Edit
I really enjoyed this place. Small restaurant, big patio, with eat in and pre-prepared take out section.
Read moreLots of options. I had the chickpea cauliflower quiche, which was amazing, the lentil soup hearty and the dill nut cheese flavourful.
Paid parking under the restaurant.

Fantastic Raw Vegan Food! - Edit
Mouth watering incredible organic raw vegan food. My absolute favourite that I always order is the Rawsagna! It is an absolute must try if you go there. I get it every time! YUM! Also amazing juices. I love the Daily Greens and Green Clean! Amazing selection of raw vegan desserts too! I have been regularly going here for 5 years now. I make the drive from Surrey and it is well worth it! I have eaten at raw vegan restaurants around the world, and I have to say that this is one of the best raw vegan restaurants I have ever been too.

Loved everything about this place! - Edit
I LOVED this place! The breakfast crepes were honestly one of the best meals I’ve ever had! I also picked up some crackers and dill cheeze, to go, along with some other treats and everything was delicious. The employees were lovely and even the other customers, who were having breakfast, were awesome. Made some new friends! This place is super cute and I will definitely be back, the next time I’m in Vancouver.

Great food in a lovely location - Edit
My wife and I tried a variety of dishes and everything was excellent. We even took home bottles of their marinated mushrooms and dill nut cheese. The staff are very friendly and helpful too. We'll be back as often as possible!

Nice little place - Edit
I love it in here! This place is not as known as other vegan places in Vancouver, so it has a different feel (Less commercialized) that I appreciate.
Read moreThe food is amazing, not the biggest portions, but is good, healthy and different than your typical smoothie.
I have been many times and I love the pizza, all their smoothies, the wheatgrass and ginger shots, the crackers with dill "cheese", and the nori rolls the best.
Pros: healthy , Delicious , good vibe
Cons: not as accessible , expensive comparing to the size

A gluten free raw vegan paradise - Edit
As a gluten free vegan I can tell you places like this are rare. You can eat "everything" on the menu.
Read moreAll food is fresh, the prices are very reasonable and none of the dishes disappoint. Enjoy everything from pizza, nori rolls, wraps, soups or grab a quick smoothie or muffin and stroll through the Quay Market waterfront which is right behind Tao.
The atmosphere is cozy and zen with ample seating. There is a selection of retail items made in-house ready to go encase you enjoyed your meal so much you'll want to stock up..I know I do! Tao also offers online courses on how to make some of their most popular dishes.
Plenty of parking on the street or behind the building there is a parking lot.
Pros: All Gluten-free, Delicious healthy food, Retail section

False Advertising - Edit
They clearly say they are vegan but they sell cow's milk and honey. I had eaten here a few times before I discovered this and the desserts were good but the mains left me hungry. I would keep going but not until they either stop selling animal products or stop claiming to be vegan when they're not.

Should Perhaps Stick with Their Desserts... - Edit
I went here recently with an Omni friend and a Vegetarian friend, and while we enjoyed the food and atmosphere, we found some of them were not fulfilling, as my vegetarian and Omni friend were hungry quickly after - The pasta that they ordered was little more than a large plate of unflavoured raw zucchini with a few rolls of nut cheese... However, the lasagna that I ordered was excellent and filling, and the desserts were amazing! We tried three cakes and a cookie dough, and were blown away by the richness and delicious flavours!
Read moreWe also ordered some juice, and while a bit expensive, they were good and satisfying. The staff were really friendly and pleasant, too!
I really wanted to enjoy everything on the menu, but the desserts were the only filling and worthwhile part, in our opinion...
Pros: Superior Desserts, Freshly Made, Helpful and Friendly Staff
Cons: Pricey, Some entree dishes not fulfilling

Great Raw Food Restaurant in North Vancouver - Edit
Two of us Turista Foodies - one Gluten-challenged, the other Vegan - tried this delightful restaurant after discovering it on the HappyCow website. The menu was most interesting, and the friendly helpful staff were quick to respond to questions that came to mind. We selected soups - one cold and other warm - followed by Rawkin Pizza, and Lasagna for Entrees, and a side of Kale Chips. Sweets were Lacuma and Double Chocolate cakes. Everything was perfect. Also had an opportunity to chat with Agat the owner/chef "en francais !" We'll be back when next in the city. Highly recommended.

Go to Lonsdale Quay - Edit
A short ferry ride across Vancouver harbor then walk through waterfront park. Super friendly, relaxed atmosphere, totally vegan, fresh and delicious. Think Gorilla on the North shore. Nothing is too much trouble, just ask. And they have a very cool website.
