Excellent Vegan Brunch! - Edit
This cafe has so many vegan options, from porridge, granola, many pancake options, vegan breakfast, things on toast, and more! I tried the Fresh Berry Vegan Pancakes and they were up their with some of the best tasting pancakes I’ve ever had! You only get two pancakes but they were so thick and very sweet tasting! They were topped with fresh berries and lots of maple syrup with I loved! I would 100% have these again because I loved the texture of their pancakes and they had lots of different pancake options from berry compote, to biscoff with whipped cream, and chocolate and banana! My mum had the vegan breakfast which came with homemade beans, two vegan sausages, avocado, a slice of sourdough, mushrooms and tomatoes! She said it was delicious and it was a great selection for a vegan breakfast too! The prices are quite high; pancakes were £9 and breakfast was £12 but I would say it’s worth the price because it was all very fresh and so delicious! The cafe itself is very cosy inside and staff were quite friendly too. I would 100% recommend this cafe for a vegan brunch if you’re in Bath, it’s become one of my favourite cafes!

Such Appaling Customer Service - Edit
My Fiance and I were in Bath this day to finalise our Wedding Venue/Church. We popped in for coffee at this cafe. It was fairly busy. The three/four staff had absolutely no ounce of decency to smile and acknowledge us. I walked up to the counter and the girl just stared at the screen and pointed her finger up at me and said wait in a rather rude and derogatory manner. She was apparently serving someone else. We waited and then proceeded to say that we would like to eat in. She had absolutely no expression on her face. She looked like she did not want to be there. She said there were no tables available. My fiance said yes there was one free he could see it. She insisted that someone has booked it. So we said no worries we will sit outside. While I was waiting. This same girl greeted two other walk-ins and sat them at tables.

Cons: No respect for customers, No manners, Rude

Lots of vegan options for cooked breakfast, pancakes and pastries (as well as some GF options). I shared a stack of chocolate and banana pancakes and the vegan breakfast which were both really tasty. The team were very friendly and service was fab. Will definitely be returning.

Dissapointing - Edit
I dont mind high prices if the food is good and you feel welcome. Strange (almost rude) vibe from staff, we felt upon leaving a bit ripped off... 2 english breakfasts with coffee an 2 kids pancakes ...£43.
Read moreSadly the children barely ate theirs because the pancakes were soaked through in curdled syrup & sauce.
Had someone of came and checked back I would have simply mentioned it an not felt the need for a review but no one asked or came near us so feel better communication would have saved this experience. English breakfast tasted nice and well presented, saving grace.

Hi !
Read moreI’m Natalie, Cafe au lait’s Owner.
We have changed our menu since you’ve been in.
95% if our menu can now be vegan. You do need to ask for the food items to be vegan but this means just taking eggs off the item on the brunch menu.
We do pride ourselves on our vegan options. Our vegan pancakes fly out, half our homemade cakes are vegan and we also offer soy, coconut, almond and oat milk.
Half our staff are also vegan!
Please pop in and give us another try :)
