Great hidden gem

Great little find in Groton, nice atmosphere, the food was amazing and tasty. Only complaint is it’s a little tough to find and a bit pricey... and i was kinda bummed that they didn’t have any tofu... other than that, great place!

Pros: Quality vibrant food , Great atmosphere , Friendly staff

Cons: A bit pricey, Slightly confusing to find , No tofu

Why do they say they use local sources?

The cafe does not seem to use local farm sources anymore, when asked I have been greeted with silence or uncertainty on this topic by staff. It seems like the only local thing on the menu lately is the honey. Why is "farm to table" still in the name on site? The website promotes they use local as an important standard. The recent menu is unclear about what is promised to be local/organic. When asked directly, the chef can not name a single local farm used . Would like to see these areas improve in the near future to be able to review in a positive way. The prices are too high here to be unclear about standards. If they do NOT commit to use local farms and say the names of the farms, they need to stop saying they do on their website and menu in a generalized way. It is false advertising.

Pros: friendly support staff, gluten free options

Cons: the spa atmosphere is uptight and unfriendly, menu unclear regarding local/organic sources, staff unclear with integrity about local sources

Best Quality Around

This is one of the only places around where you can get farm to table food prepared in a healthy and simple way. Chef Karen cares about the quality of the food and tries to source as much local as possible. For those of us with food allergies and sensitivities it is extremely nice to know that the Bistro is an option for eating out and being around similar minded people. Personally, I do not think the prices are much (if at all) higher than many other non-organic places I’ve been in the area.

groton wellness cafe

If you care about the integrity of ingredients this is the place to be. They focus on non-GMO, organic, local, pastured raised, healthy fats, whole grain cooking. Chef Karen is great to talk to about the food standards the cafe uses and why. The bakery is gluten free and so good. The smoothies are amazing. In winter I pick up quarts of soup and chili for the week here. They sell them in mason jars to go.

Fresh food and delightful variety

I stop and have lunch at the Groton Wellness Café in Groton, MA weekly. I choose different items from the menu and have never been disappointed. The food is always fresh and delicious. The soups are always nice and hot and the portions are generous.
The sandwiches are served on delightful wooden serving boards and their presentation is charming.
Their beef chili is one of their best items on the regular menu their fish chowder is awesome.
I cant wait for summer because their berry smoothie is the best summer drink Ive ever had.
Prices for all their items are perfect for the quality and portions served.
Great job Groton Wellness Café!

Pros: fresh cooked and excellent food, generous portions, good prices

We LOVE the Café at Groton Wellness

Natural Foods Chef Karen is an incredible cook. She and her team offer delicious homemade soups, nutrient dense meals, healing smoothies and much more. I love the brussel sprouts and curried sweet potato soup (always my favorite!). My Paleo friends appreciate that they work with all dietary requests. Everything is fresh with the finest quality organic and all natural ingredients. They use meat that is grass-fed and hormone free. They offer a variety of gluten free, vegetarian & vegan options. You can eat there or take it to go. One of my favorites is the “immune boosting” soup! All staff are so helpful, knowledgeable about what they offer their customers. It's one of those places that makes you feel good to go to, inside and out. The food is always fresh and delicious! I believe the love that Chef Karen imparts gets transmitted into all that she creates. Pure ingredients, love and creativity are what I think make all the difference. I feel very grateful to have such great food here in Groton, MA. Thanks for always making me feel warm and welcome. Do something nice for yourself today and visit the Café at Groton Wellness. Your body will thank you!

Pros: Amazing food & relaxing atmosphere! , Yummy, organic & locally grown foods!, Inside Groton Wellness - Holistic Center
