Lovely venue; good service. BUT, not especially vegan friendly. Most items are prepared with fish flakes/fish sauce; waitstaff and management state that preparation without fish flakes/fish sauce is not an option. ☹️
The food at Cafe Asia 2 is amazing! Love the broccoli with garlic sauce and white rice. Have also tried the asparagus with garlic sauce and white rice. The veggie lo mein is good as well. You can get vegan sushi at Cafe Asia too. The cucumber avocado roll is really good. Overall, very pleased. Tons of vegan options and delicious food. Reasonably priced. Would give this restaurant 5 stars if I could!
I came here based on reviews from my fellow veganites. I wasn’t disappointed however one lady said in her review that the General Tao tofu was vegan and in fact it is not; (can’t be fooled by the word tofu in a dish and assume it’s vegan)Had the sesame bean curd. Lots of flavor. Sweet. Large portion. Other options are salads and modified appetizers and some sushi
Went here for lunch with coworkers. Was my first time eating here. Got 2 sushi roll deal which came with salad with ginger dressing which is amazing! There’s also the option to get miso soup but it’s not vegan. Got the mushroom roll and the avocado, cucumber and asparagus roll. Both were good.
Cafe Asia is a fave for my family, especially now that we are vegans. There are plenty of tofu dishes to choose from: General Tso’s Tofu, Tofu lettuce wraps, Sesame Tofu. There are some great noodle dishes you can order sans the protein, like the Drunken Noodles. My daughter loves to get Vegetable Lo-Mein or Fried Rice (minus the egg). We also enjoy their salads and veggie sides: seaweed salad, avocado salad, asparagus, garlic sauced broccoli or just their side salad with ginger dressing.
The service is always good, too. The manager (owner?) Feng (pronounced “Fong”) is charismatic & does a great job running the restaurant.
They are conveniently located for us & we get their take-out frequently. What a treat to have Cafe Asia!
