independent & cool

Nice change to the many coffee chains in Leeds which I won't knock too much as long as they continue to serve soya milk and vegan food options. But you just can't beat an independent establishment such as this which is oozing with understated style and a cool attitude. It's spacious and there aren't dirty plates and cups surrounding you like some of the above unnamed company's premises. You can chill here for hours drinking great coffee and there's always the option of tasty vegan cake to accompany it. Although I only visit Leeds a few times a year I made sure I got their coffee club card as I know I will be back.

Pros: vegan cake, dairy free milk, great coffee

Cons: meat

Eric you require 164 - game on!

Just discovered the perfect coffee shop in Leeds after years of going to Caffe Nero. Cool interior, loads of window seats overlooking the Victoria quarter and plenty of vegan cakes to choose from. We had a chocolate and peanut flapjack which got better with every bite. The coffee is amazing too. Let's play darts.

Pros: nice views, vegan cakes, friendly

Cons: toilet not great

Convenient breakfast, lunch and cafe spot

This venue situated close to the Royal Northern Ballet, the BBC and the West Yorkshire Playhouse has a good number of vegan and vegetarian options.

Starting at breakfast time they have soya and almond milk for the porridge. Lunch options include a few vegan sandwich options, as well a salads. They also have a decent range of vegan cakes.

Pros: Good atmosphere, Decent vegan cake range
