A must visit!! - Edit
The food here is honestly delicious, we got the baba ganoush plate and the vegan shwarma pita and both were incredible. The portion sizes are big meaning you definitely get value for money. We also got a couple of their smoothies, I can’t remember their names but they were both really nice. A must visit if you’re vegan staying in Balgüe!

Definitely worth visiting - Edit
Vegan babaganush plate was absolutely delicious! Falafel and cauliflower on the top - incredible. My friend ordered vegan shwarma with oyster mushrooms in a pita bread and also very good. Highly recommend!

Delicious falafel - Edit
This is an interesting place to eat, food is served out of an old school bus but there's a seating area by it. Seems a bit dingy but charming enough. Either way, it's worth a visit because the falafel is very tasty. They were out of the babaganoush plate so we had one plate with falafel/hummus and one falafel pita. Would definitely recommend the pita over the plate, it was completely stuffed and you got the same amount of food at a slightly lover price. We also tried the breadfruit fries just to see what they were like. They were seasoned well and the dipping sauce was delicious but the fries were not our style 😅 Fun to try, though.
Read moreThere's not a lot of drink options and the drink that came with the meal was an "iced" tea we didn't really like. Not sure what flavour that was.
Pros: Tasty food, Fun spot
Cons: Not many drink options

Best food on Ometepe!! - Edit
This was really our favorite meal in all of Nicaragua. We got the babaganoush plates and breadfruit fries. So well done with tons of flavor and very filling. And love that they’re very generous with the sauces. Highly highly recommend!! 12/10

Love love love - Edit
I ate here multiple times during my Ometepe stay, I love this bus! On Mondays you can get vegan mashed potato filled burekas which come with salad and a tasty tomato sauce. On normal days there's delicious falafel available, I'd really recommend the babaganoush plate which comes with roasted cauliflower and falafels, salad and pita and a drink - it's amazing. The gelato is all vegan (!!), and twice a week there's a bakery with vegan focaccias and banana bread. Everything is tasty here, the location is cool, the staff are friendly, and there are always dogs around to pet. 10/10
