The food (and I mean ALL of it) is amazing. They even customised us a bagel which we loved so much. Their apple fritters and cinnamon rolls are next level.

Not only the best vegan spot in Cairns but the best bagel I've had in Australia and I lived in NYC for a decade! The decor is cute, the staff is so nice, and everything is vegan, what more can you ask for?

Cool little bagel place - Edit
Amazing bagels, awesome doughnuts, and great coffee. Was the first place we ate at when visiting Cairns, and we were not dissapointed! It has a nice little atmosphere, and the staff were lovely. Would 100% recomend for breakfast, lunch or brunch. The cheeseburger bagel was delicious.

We came here for breakfast on a Sunday. I didn’t noticed the cinnamon rolls before or I would have bought one or two! I ordered a filtered coffee, an Astrid’s favourite bagel (with pickles) on the everything bagel and my partner ordered the cinnamon crunch bagel with peanut butter and jelly. The place has a really nice vibe. The person at the counter was lovely. The bagel was so tasty and filling. My coffee was lovely. I wished I’d have timed things better to visit there on another day but we will run out of time. Highly recommend.

Completely vegan menu. Bagel with the lot was yummy but I loved the cheeseburger bagel-dog. Cinnamon scroll was very sweet but delicious (finished it later and still yum). I’m also a fan of their sweet donut danish things you buy in 3s ☺️

Some of the best bagels I've ever had. Honestly the classic toasted with the cashew smear was amazing. We also tried a variety of the bagels and they were all yummy. The coffee drinks were quite sweet, my partner really enjoyed them (esp. the grandma barb). The cinnamon scrolls are also amazing.

Many vegan places I've been to adopt very generic marketing or else try to capture the mainstream "wellness" crowd. What I love about Bury Me Standing is their commitment to the subversive stance of veganism. The art and murals are really cool and all created by one of the owners. They also have some punk stickers and other random merchandise. Awarded 5 stars for vibes!
Read moreAnd for the food another 5 stars is due. I looove the chewy, spongy bagels and the cashew cheese "schmear". Ingredients are all fresh and high quality. I'm working my way through the coffee menu and so far love the Waikiki and the Grandma Barb. Turns out "creamer" really is good, sorry I doubted you Americans.
