Worth it for convenience

Good food, easy vegan options. I did the taco bowl with tempeh, hold sour cream and cheese, add the guacamole. It worked out perfectly well. The staff was knowledgeable and let me know which sauces and options contained items not within my restrictions.

Pros: Convenient , Knowledgeable staff, Good options

Tempeh bowl was great

Staff suggested ways to veganize my bowl, replacing cheese with guacamole. The tempeh with Baja sauce was fantastic. My meat eating coworkers enjoyed their meals too.

Pros: Tempeh, Atmosphere

Good option for the area

I got a tempeh taco bowl with guacamole, and it was delicious! It’s as good as chipotle and Moe’s.

Excellent Tempe Butrito

the options start and end with the Tempe burrito and chips, but it’s among the best burritos i’ve had. i wish i could prepare tempe this good. excellent for a lazy dinner, very filling, relatively affordable. the staff was also extremely helpful in recommending the best “styles” for the burrito and making sure that the burrito i ordered was a tj ally vegan. Burrito del Sol is a mandatory stop for me whenever i’m in the area.

Pros: excellent Tempe, filling burrito, very helpful staff

Cons: tempe burrito is only vegan option

Great

This place is very vegan-friendly. When I got tempeh and asked for no cheese, the guy taking my order immediately asked if I wanted it vegan, because one of the sauces wasn’t vegan. He offered to replace that sauce with guacamole so it would still be moist. The burrito I got was fantastic—much better than Chipotle. I was actually sad when I got to the last bite. They even let us bring a dog to eat with us on the covered patio.

Baja tempeh taco salad for the win

I had the Baja tempeh taco salad without a shell and it was glorious. I was very surprised. Lots of cabbage and I asked for extra lime. If you’re vegan, ask for no dairy.

Pros: Ambiance, Taco salad

Delicious!

All in our party ordered different burritos and all had a great experience! Not only is the tempeh option delicious, but the portion sizes are awesome and the staff is very knowledgeable! As soon as we mentioned tempeh, the woman asked if we were vegan and guided us through which sauces were vegan.

Pros: Veganizable, Good prices

Tempeh What!?

The tempeh on the burrito had an amazing flavor. Baja style is what the doctor ordered. Here all the way from Vero Beach, FL. Would make the journey again😄

Pros: Tempeh is on point, Delicious Guacamole , Super cute ambiance

Cons: None, None, None

Good food

Tempeh has a nice flavor. The taco salad bowl is very greasy so order without if you want a healthier meal.

Pros: Staff knows about making vegan versions of menu

Cons: Usually very busy, Not uncommon to run out of ingredients

Delish in Destin

This is a great place to grab some vegan grub. The prices are reasonable; the service is knowledgeable, and friendly. There are a few sauce options, but the bbq sauce is the only one that's vegan. Their tempeh flavors well with the bbq sauce though; so no worries.

Pros: Good food, good prices, helpful staff

Cons: Limited seating

I get the tempeh burrito. Just ask them to make sure it’s vegan and they’ll prepare your food correctly and hook you up with the right sauce.

Pros: The burrito is huge , The staff is knowledgeable about vegan , Reasonable prices

Tempeh for protein

Tempeh as protein option for their salads, wraps, tacos and burritos. I asked to make it “vegan proof”, and they skipped the cheese and recommended a specific dressing.

Yummy tempeh burritos

Burrito del sol is our go to place in FWB. We love the bbq tempeh burrito best! just clarify without dairy. Must try their host hot sauce - I think it is apple habenero. 🤯

Pros: Tasty vegan options , Great chips and salsa, incl with burrito too!, Great guacamole

Cons: Limited vegan choices, Slightly more expensive than chipotle

Casual and yummy

This is a nice spot in downtown Ft Walton to grab some tempeh tacos, burritos, or a taco salad bowl. I love their house made hot sauce. Also has a bar in the back with friendly bartenders.

Chill Location

This place had some pretty good food. They offer tempeh as a protein option. You order at the counter and while you wait for your food you can go have a drink at the full cantina in the next room. Quick friendly service.

Props to Burrito del Sol for supporting Veg/Vegans

Like in other review, happy to find Burrito del Sol on Happy Cow when looking for vegan options in Fort Walton Beach. Ate here last night and wanted to share.

Yes, the offer up vegan options on their menu which was fab and didn't disappoint. Restaurant was clean and staff very friendly!

Of the options on the menu, turns out 2 of the 4 I was after apparently contain milk (Chipotle sauce and Baja sauces aren't vegan) here. :(

So left with options to try either Baja or Southwest styles (minus sour cream and cheese of course..no diaya option). On staff suggestion went with BBQ style - vegan.

Burrito was tasty and the Tempeh was yummy too!

BBQ was nice, though a touch sweet for my preference. Not to fault of restaurant, just my own personal preference. May get back there again tomorrow night to try Southwestern (vegan) as another option.

Pros: Clean and friendly, Good value/price.

Cons: BBQ+pineapple salsa is a little sweet.

Went back to Burrito del Sol tonight for dinner. This time had the Tempeh Southwest with no sour cream or cheese and with jalapenos.

Definitely very tasty. More my style. ***** (5-stars!)
