Delicious food, very busy - Edit
Very tasty food although more expensive than other places and quite upmarket feel inside. Very extensive menu, not all Burmese food. Was very busy on a Sunday evening, without reservation we had to sit at the bar, which was fine for us.

10/10 - Edit
Ask for vegan menu. It’s a separate menu with all options marked as vegan or not but most of the menu is vegan!

Salty disappointment - Edit
We ordered three things, two of which were from their Jain menu (no garlic no onion, I told them about my allergy).
Read moreFermented tea/ avocado salad to share came with a lot of garlic, when mentioning it, our waiter said 'no, no garlic it's okay'. It was basically a garlic salad. After a while sitting there they agreed to change as indeed, 'sorry mam, there's garlic'.
Second chance, the salad was good but a bit too salty for our liking 6/10
Then came my sticky rice stuffed with BBQ jackfruit cooked in banana leaf. The sauce was salty and fatty, and the jackfruit was just overpoweringly salty after two bites I downed my water and my lemonade. I sent it back, and, frankly, didn't want to try anything else there. 0/10
My husband's non Jain menu item, garlic noodles, were very good, he enjoyed his dish. 9/10
Pros: Garlic and onion free options , Nice interior
Cons: All of the Jain menu items were way too salty , Inability to spot a mistake

Delicious Burmese in a great Bombay neighborhood - Edit
I have always loved walking around Kala Ghoda in Bombay, and Burma Burma made it even better. There’s an incredible range of Burmese food here with lots of descriptions of each dish’s origins. You can get small bites or big bowls of noodles. And the mocktails are amazing.

Flavourful and authentic - Edit
I had the spicy samosa soup, addictive and satisfyingly crunchy spring roll salad, and tangy taro taco with spiced black bean. I had a refreshing berry blush to drink.
Read moreEach dish was flavourful, very nicely textured, and filling with large portion sizes.
I wished that I had been able to try more (so much so that I sought out a Burma Burma restaurant in Delhi later on my trip).
Whilst the restaurant has a specific vegan menu, worryingly there are mistakes on it e.g. the crunchy tofu steamed buns are not vegan due to the bread used in the buns. These errors really should be rectified. Fortunately the waiters understood my dietary requirements so this was not a problem and did not detract from the quality of the food.
Pros: 1. Inventive dishes, 2. Extraordinarily good-tasting
Cons: 1. Quite expensive, 2. Inaccurate vegan menu

Unique, surprising, awesome, delicious! - Edit
Everything we ate here was unique and delicious. Incredibly easy to eat solely vegan as nearly everything is vegan-friendly in this restaurant. Beautiful food and superb service. It's not cheap by Mumbai standards but you could never eat like this in Australia for this price so we were very happy to 'splash out' and enjoy such creative dishes. I recommend sharing several small plates to get a range of what's on offer and maybe order as you go as thought they may look like small serves, they quickly fill you up!

Cons: Nothing, worth the splurge

Can’t wait to come back! - Edit
Visited here after searching online for places with vegan options and the reviews were excellent so decided to give it a try. We were not disappointed. The food is some of the best I have ever eaten. Full of flavour, fresh ingredients and absolutely delicious. The menu clearly lists vegan options and the staff were happy to explain dishes to us. I really can’t wait to return when I’m next in Mumbai.

Everything here was delicious and the service was great. Highly recommend the chili tohu and the mock duck and potato curry, and the fried tea leaf rice, but everything we had was delicious. Get tea as well, it was lovely. Make a reservation it is very busy and popular.
