I ordered the vegan burger and my boyfriend the vegetarian one. They were big and really tasty! We both preffered the vegan burger over the vegetarian one. Not a processed burger like you can buy in the supermarker, but homemade burgers made from beans/potatoes etc.

For a popular fast-food chain to have 3 plant-based burgers to choose from, including with vegan aioli, is pretty awesome. They also serve delicious kumara fries. A place like this makes everyone feel included and welcome. Highly recommend if you are after a quick, easy, delicious plant-based burger.

There have been a couple of NZ Vegetarian Society approved options on the Burger Fuel menu for quite some time that were easily converted to Vegan by swapping out the aioli and/or cheese but this summer they added a vegan burger to the menu and it really is great.

I also ordered the new vegan aioli as a dipping sauce for my fries and while this was good in the burger, it was a little too 'thin' and plain on its own. Maybe stick to the ketchup!
It looks like this burger has been added and my previous go-to (a modified 'V-Dub') has been dropped. That still leaves 3 burger options available at Burger Fuel (2 x Large Gourmet, 1 x smaller Tofu option)
The V8 Vegan along with a soy shake and fries is a great burger meal and with outlets throughout NZ, it's worth trying!

You have the Kumara fries, spud fries, soy shakes (including flavours such as chocolate, strawberry, caramel, vanilla etc made with soy ice cream) your burger options are: Combustion tofu remove the aioli, v-dub vege remove the aioli and cheddar! There is another vege burger unsure if can be made vegan but the two options are great and filling!

Excellent vegetarian options, and unusual attention to that from a burger chain joint. Quick, satisfying, inexpensive. The doofers (cardboard piece for holding the burger) are a cute and good idea (don't use it if you don't like it!).
