It's a cheap option - Edit
Food was ok, at least they have several vegan options on the menu. They were out of Naan so we ordered Roti instead. I don't have to come here again but it's an option when other restaurants are closed.

Good vege options - Edit
I had my first vegetarian murtabak after 12 years. So I appreciate the restaurant's effort to offer veg option.

The cheapest but clearly not the best - Edit
Staff is friendly and food is incredibly cheap but we understand why. We ordered 2 vegetarian sets with 1 chapati. (for only RM24) and it was so tasteless.

Pros: tasteless

Okay, I guess - Edit
The food here is mediocre at best, there are better places with vegan food in the area. However, it is dirt cheap and the staff is very helpful. Using the buffet worked better for me than the sets.

Not a fan - Edit
I met an Indian guy on a hike and he told me this has the most authentic Indian food in Tanah Rata... maybe that means I like less authentic Indian food, I don't know.
Read moreGrabbed take-out, waited exactly 30 minutes while the staff was hanging around and only the last 5 minutes packed some stuff from the buffet, so wouldn't call it fast food. The rice seemed old, and the curry lacked salt and was filled with vegetables that seemed to come out of a freezer-package.
Big portion though, could eat for it 3 times if I wanted (except that I didn't want to - tossed it all away after a few bites, and that means a lot considering how strongly I am against food waste)
Pros: Central location, Cheap
Cons: Not tasty, Slow service

Good buffet - Edit
Enjoyed the buffet. Food wasn't amazing but still good. We went for a late lunch and there was still plenty left in the buffet, plus a member of staff offered to microwave our plate to mae sure the food we picked was hot.

Best Indian in Tanah Rata - Edit
This restaurant serves meat, but it's still the best option for vegetarians and vegans in Tanah Rata, Cameron Highlands. They have a buffet for lunch, where you can load your plate with vegan dishes without ghee, or you can order from the menu. The buffet food gets a bit cold after 2 pm, and choices will be limited, so try to get there early. Everybody working there, including the lady boss are very friendly, clean and professional. It's hands down the cheapest and best Indian in town, where all the locals eat. Skip the filthy and expensive Kumar and Sri Brinchang, and walk down here for decent healthy food.

worst indian food i have ever eaten - Edit
food sits out in a buffet and is cold when served. everything tasted somewhat oily and rice was partially congealed. I'm not sure why they have spicy/non-spicy options because everything just comes from the same buffet. it's not made to order.

Fully vegan buffet - Edit
The vegetarian portion of the buffet is 100% vegan - no ghee used in any of the dishes. The woman who owns the place told me the naan and the chapati have dairy and/or eggs in the batter. I loaded up my plate at the buffet and it came to 11 MYR. I ended up coming here everyday since there are no vegan friendly restaurants in the area.
Read morePros: Fully vegan buffet (the vegetarian portion) , Only vegan-friendly restaurant in the area, Affordable (under 15 MYR per person)
Cons: Not many high protein options (sometimes no tofu), Limited options throughout the day

friendly staff and yummy food! - Edit
They are right next door to another Indian place that also has a vegetarian section of the buffet. Without reading previous reviews, I gravitated here due to the calmness and kindness of the staff.
Read moreThe first meal I got was just a bowl of vegetables (no rice) and a small bowl of Dahl. 4 R.
The second meal was the same, except with two large pieces of tofu on top. I was told 9 R. When I asked about it, they told me “because of the tofu”. I said ok, and 2 minutes later, I was brought a chapati plate with Dahl and chutney for no extra charge.
All the staff are kind with big smiles, the veg food has no ghee or butter (though I believe the chapatis and donuts do!) and the food is tasty.

Cheapest Indian restaurant in town - Edit
After comparing different Indian restaurants, Bunga Suria is really the cheapest and the one that offers the most vegan and vegetarian options. You can either choose between the self-service buffet or pick something on the menu. The veg section of the buffet is huge. There is always at least one choice of dahl and one dish with greens. On the menu you will find chapati set (served with dahl and a coconut chutney), vegan claypot, banana leaf, and many more options. The staff is very kind and helpful is you have a special request. The portions are huge. Your meal should cost you between 5-8 ringgits.

Cons: Some meals are too oily
