best burrito of my life 💖 - Edit
let me start off by saying that this place has incredible options and i would give 5 stars if it let me. i NEVER write reviews, but this place deserves a great one because of how transformative it was. ✨✨✨
Read morevegan, vegetarian, and meat options are available with several different flavor profiles you can ask your protein to be seasoned with. 🤩🤩🤩
they have tofu, seitan, and other protein options for my veg bbys and i truly believe that their spicy bbq seitan burrito has put me on a new path in life. they packed that [censored]!!!! my burrito literally came out the size of a newborn baby. and with their sauce bar?!? incredible. 😮💨😮💨😮💨
i’ve had plenty of good burritos in the boston area, but never had a place that made veg options like this one. i would literally invest thousands of my own dollars into bringing a location to the greater boston area. please go here and love on yourself, i will 100% be coming back 💖💖💖
Pros: lots of vegan/vegetarian options!, huge portion sizes! , affordable and beautiful ambiance!
Cons: none (i love this place so much), please go here and support them, see 1 and 2

Great In a Pinch! - Edit
I frequent the Bueno Y Sano in Springfield regularly (Located on Cooley Street; not aware of a Sumner Street location?), and it's perfect for a gotta-get-a-lunch-somewhere-quick type of option. It's comparable to Chipotle, with superior online ordering and customer experience. The employees here are incredibly friendly and helpful.
Read moreMy go-to is the grilled salad, which offers MANY customizable options to choose from, including grilled veggies, sauteed mushrooms, fresh spinach, etc., in addition to various toppings (salsa, hot sauce, guacamole). The meal comes with rice (brown or white) and beans, which you can opt out of, if they're not your thing. Big portions and consistently tasty. Hard to find a healthier meal that you can grab as quickly, when on the go.
Pros: Friendly service, Large portions, Many salad topping options
Cons: No replacement feature for rice/beans

Limited but tasty Vegan options 🙌🏽 - Edit
Counter service restaurant with few but super tasty Vegan options. My husband and I each had one of the burritos that could be veganized with either seitan or tofu (we both had seitan which was 👍🏽, my father had the tofu which he said was tasty).
Read moreThe burritos were HUGE and packed with flavor. They both had Asian- inspired flavors that were spot on, on point, and authentic tasting. The Thai was spicy, which was noted on the menu, and boy was it spicy 🥵 (in a good way for those of you who like spicy).
Everything was freshly made to order and delicious!!
Pros: Delicious, flavorful & fresh, High chairs , HUGE burritos
Cons: Limited vegan options, No baby changing table in bathroom

Great Mexican with great vegan options - Edit
We eat here weekly... seitan tacos or burritos are GREAT—even better now that they have vegan queso!!! My husband loves their non-veg omni options too...
Read moreThe Springfield location on Sumner Rd is the best one we’ve been to (others are good too, but this one is the best)
Pros: Seitan! And now vegan queso!, Yummy food , Cheap and quick
Cons: I guess, no vegan sour cream, Peanut sauce isn’t vegan (last I asked)

Good for vegetarians, few options for vegans - Edit
I do appreciate the locally-owned little chain, but the fact of the matter is that the number of options available for vegans at Bueno is very limited, and no vegan cheeses means that burritos will either wholly lack a key ingredient, or you need to add your own. Not an optimal situation.
Read moreStill: the quality is pretty good, and the prices reasonable. Vegetarians will fare much better than vegans.
Pros: Average-to-Good quality, Prices reasonable
Cons: Scant vegan options

Love this place - Edit
Easiest place around to grab a veg dish on the go. Burritos are delicious, they offer meat substitutes including a BBQ Seitan. Vegans just ask for no cheese as they add it automatically in burritos. I love the "Salvadoran" which is grilled veggies, black beans, rice and I'll ask for guacamole in it. Their salsa and chips are delicious as well. Very friendly, reasonable prices, and big portions (or get the small burrito and save your tummy).
