LOTS of vegan options! Locally owned Thai restaurant.

My book club meets at this locally owned Thai restaurant by the beaches once a month. They have SO many vegan options, almost everything can be made vegan. They also have a lot of gluten free choices which is important to members of our party. We will always come here because there is so much flavorful choice!

Pros: Many options for gluten free and vegan , Friendly , Ambience

Cons: No outdoor seating

Amazing food with lots of vegan options!

Buddha Thai Bistro is amazing! There are tons of vegan options and the menu clearly indicates what can be made vegan. They offer tofu and soy chicken. The restaurant's atmosphere is really nice. It's a fancy place, but the friendly staff makes it welcoming and laid-back. I highly recommend Buddha Thai Bistro!

Pros: Lots of vegan options, Great atmosphere, Amazing staff

tofu satay !!!

I got an order of the tofu satay appetizer for takeout and it was sooo good. They taste just like the chicken satay skewers I used to get as a kid. The tofu was grilled with a slightly crispy outside and the peanut dipping sauce that came without was tasty as well. For $7.50 it was the perfect little lunch but you can add a side of rice if you want a more filling meal.

Pros: lots of vegan options , reasonably priced , close to beach

Delicious!

Thai place with a very cool vibe. All things on the menu that can be made vegan have a little green 🌱 symbol. Most things on the menu can be made vegan! The food was absolutely delicious.

Great Asian Food

Large menu where almost everything can be made vegan with tofu. Though they don't show it on the menu, you can also add vegan shrimp or soy chicken. We had a green curry and pad Thai, both with the soy chicken and it was some of the best Thai food we've ever eaten.

For an appetizer we had a delicious fried tofu with peanut sauce and a mango sweet rice for dessert.

They had a pretty good wine list and even the inexpensive house wine tasted decent.

We don't live in Jacksonville, but our daughter does and we will definitely be back.

Pros: Tons of vegan options, Service, Inside ambience

Cons: Not great outside seating (in a strip mall)

Everything is great with many vegan options.

We lived in jax bch for many years and this was our go-to place. This week we are visiting and will be there a few times. We love the eggplant 🍆 dish. Yes fried but awesome. I think it was called pra ram. It'sfried eggplant over a big bed of spinach covered in peanut sauce. It comes out sizzling! Yes decadent but a treat.

Pros: Read above

Cons: None.

Super & Intentionally Vegan Inclusive

Such an awesome place with so many vegan options. You can tell that they really care about their vegan customers. We enjoyed so many delicious dishes. The soy chicken was great, can’t wait to try the soy fish and shrimp next time. They soy meat options aren’t listed on the menu so you do have to ask for them but the staff is enthusiastic about their vegan offerings. The yellow and green curries are my new favorite dishes. The lettuce wraps and drunk man noodles (also with soy chicken) were great. My vegan husband doesn’t like tofu, so this place is an absolute gem and our new favorite place. The best meal I’ve had this year. AND... they have a vegan BUFFET on Thanksgiving!

Lots of vegan options, but mediocre food

They have lots of options for vegans but it's tourist area food.
However the peanut sauce, was some of the best I have ever had!
Good portion sizes, and had enough to take home for later.

Pros: Lots of vegan and can be made into vegan options

Cons: Pricey, Meh food

Lots of vegan options if you ask!

My waiter said that 90% of the menu could be made vegan and they offer soy shrimp, chicken, and fish. I ordered the vegan egg rolls which were pretty good and the drunk man noodles (with no egg) with soy shrimp and it was very good! At a level 1 I still thought it was spicy so beware. I just wish they would put the vegan/vegetarian options on a separate menu but if you ask they are very willing to accomodate you!

to thai for :)

I had the vegan chix curry and my friend had the "shrimp". I don't think they operate on a Bangkok spicy scale but everything was super flavorful! the place is pretty big and located right in Jax beach.

Good But Small Portions

The food was delicious, I tried the drunken noodles with soy chicken and extra veggies. I see that other people stated that the portions were worth the price but mine was extremely small for almost $20 for just the noodles. I dont know if it was because I did take out instead of dine in but I was expecting alot more food for the price.

Pros: Delicious

Cons: Small Portion, Price

many options for vegans

love this place! a bit pricey, but that's why I suggest to go during lunch for their special. a lot cheaper. I love the yellow curry with soy chicken or the pad Thai. both are excellent. if you have a sweet tooth go for the Thai tea with coconut milk. all of the servers are really helpful for vegans so don't be shy to tell them when ordering.

Pros: options for vegans, great lunch prices , good atmosphere

Cons: low staff, pricey

There's a Vegan Menu!

I love that there is a well written truly vegan menu available, it really makes the communication and choosing what to eat easier. Because it is all delicious. This is the place I first fell in love with green papaya salad. It's amazing. I've had it so many times I can't count, and it's consistently well prepared. Their vegan Tom Kha is unbelievably flavorful. I recommend these two items with the tofu satay and the tofu summer rolls. My vegetarian kid loves their egg rolls as well.

Pros: Vegan Menu, Priced Reasonably, Consistent Excellent Quality

Cons: A little more variety might be nice., There's only one server working usually.

excellent!

I enjoyed the tom yum soup and they made the massamun curry without beef and added tofu. It's some of the best curry I've ever had. The staff was friendly. I'm visiting from out of town and can't promise I'll be back soon, but I will return to this restaurant when I return to Jacksonville.

Great For Vegans

I am always excited to go here! What I usually order is:
lunch special (usually around 11 dollars and you get a nice amount of food)-
appetizer- summer rolls (no meat)
soup of the day is usually the veggie soup which is good
salad that comes with it
and my entree is the drunken man noodles with NO egg and soy chicken which is absolutely amazing. I recommend this place to all vegans/vegetarians
:)
I would give this 5 stars if I could!!

Pros: vegan, vegatarian, low cost

Cons: slightly under staffed

Wish there were more like it!

I found this gem on Happy Cow (thank you!) while searching for friendly eateries near Ponte Vedra FL. I took some friends who are non-vegan and a little conservative on the food front, so it was a little risky. Thankfully the food wowed ALL of us, especially me. Great menu full of choices and so customizable a vegan feels like a king in this place. Great spices, great preparation, really friendly and caring waitstaff. One big downer was the long wait, and there also was an issue with the food timing. Some guests recieved their soup, some didn't. Some had entrees, some were left waiting. But in their defense, the place was PACKED and it hit them fast. We walked in and groups of people started streaming in at the same time. I think they did the best they could, and did comp our soup to try to make it up to us. I just wish more places like this existed, especially in our home town. Highly recommend this place!!

Pros: Many Choices, Great Taste

Cons: Service a little slow
