Inconsistent food - Edit
I’ve had takeout from Bua maybe six or seven times. I’ve gotten the yellow curry, panang curry and the cashew tofu (always with the fried tofu). What I’ll say is that when it’s good, it’s quite good—particularly the yellow curry.

I’ve been vegan for six years now and I know from experience what spoiled tofu tastes like — sour and soapy, with a distinct smell. It’s unfortunate when you spend $20+ on a main course and have to toss it after one bite. When I called them the second time this happened to let them know to pull the tofu, they were very nice and apologetic, which was a positive.
Beside this, I have noticed inconsistent quality in taste. Generally, the yellow curry has been great, although it doesn’t have a ton of veggies in it. The cashew tofu has been good, but has also come very oily and lacking flavor.

My girlfriends and I love going out to eat here. The staff is friendly and understand our vegan needs. Everything from the noodles, rice and curries can be done vegan. Delicious!

This Thai restaurant is amazing!! They are very accommodating to vegans and offer several options with tofu or vegetables. They are really friendly as well! I love their pad Thai with tofu and no egg. They don't use fish sauce so no need to substitute there! Check this place out I'm sure you won't be disappointed

Almost everything on their menu can be made vegan. The staff was very knowledgeable and we never felt “put out” by anything. They had a Thai iced tea that was made with coconut milk instead of half and half, and our entrees were delicious! I had the pineapple curry with tofu, and my fiancé had the tofu pad Thai. They never use fish sauce or oyster sauce in their pad Thai sauce, so he just ordered it without egg. We were blown away by the quality of our food. The only (tiny) downside was how small the vegan egg rolls were- not worth the price of $1.50 each, as they were as small as spring rolls. Many meat choices for the carnivores, as well. We will be making the 20 minute drive frequently, as we have found our new favorite restaurant! I wish I could give this restaurant 5 stars, but that is reserved for only fully vegan or vegetarian restaurants.
