Good food but very average service - Edit
There's a few vegan options in the menu, the food is quite good i had the salad with Quinoa and lentills and it was quite good. But apart from that the place is too packed, not confortable at all and the service is not that good at all, not bad but very average!

A good place for a healthy lunch while in this port side touristy area. - Edit
The place has outdoor and indoor seating. Modern clean decor. They offer cakes (none of which were marked vegan) smoothies, a vegan bowl, a vegan sandwich and a vegan burrito. Serve a selection of drinks (including alcoholic). Helpfully there’s a clearly listed allergens page. Menus available in English too. Would ordinarily expect more vegan options for a place I rate as a 4 but the sandwich was exceptional: imaginative and well crafted flavours assembled into a culinary art piece.

Many vegan options or made to be vegan, and it was so tasty! The flavors were amazing and the place was adorable! I got the vegan sandwich and would get it again!

The food was decent, don't get me wrong. But the wait was insane. It took us 1 hour from getting there to be seated and get our order. It was not even that busy. When they did eventually order our stuff they forgot our drinks. Our food came first... We asked about the drinks and he could not see that any had been ordered. The people were nice but they were so, SO slow!

A lovely location, by the sea. A very small selection of vegan options - may be enough for some people. I had the avocado toast vegan - it was nice, but felt very basic. Juices and coffee were lovely.

We loved it here, came for brunch a few times during out stay. Gets very busy around midday but if you head in between 9-11 or near 3pm it's a lot quieter. The food is really fresh and you have to try the iced oat matcha latte. The staff are very pleasant and kindly spoke English with us. Really easy to get to too, just a minute walk from barceloneta metro station (and you can head to the beach after too!).

Healthy, raw and vibrant Poke bowl filled with seaweed salad, mango, edamame, tomato, sweet corn, zucchini noodles. Exciting ingredients, creatively presented - looked like a rainbow in a bowl! Unfortunately slightly lacked flavour. The place is crammed, service rushed and almost always a wait to be seated. Is worth a visit for a quick brunch.

Worth the wait - Edit
When you first arrive at Brunch and Cake By The Sea, you are instantly greeted by an artsy, Instagram worthy exterior (and probably a queue of people). The café gets very busy, so if you're short on time, it might not be the best option, especially around brunchtime, but otherwise, it's 100% worth the wait.
Read moreWhilst not a 100% vegan restaurant, lots and lots of options on the menu are vegan (and marked as such) and the café has taken conscious steps in recent months to provide more plant based option. The café focuses on putting a fresh, wholesome spin on brunch classics, all whilst making every single dish look like a piece of art (just look at their Instagram to see what I mean).
The location, as the name suggests, is brilliant - just a five minute walk from the beach, and not too far from the centre, either. I would definitely recommend to come here, especially if you're into trying dishes that are new and exciting.
Pros: nice vibe, beautifully presented food, healthy, inventive vegan options
