Serves meat, vegan options available. Canadian pub-style chain with many locations. Half the menu can be altered to make it vegan. Has tofu and the chipotle aioli is vegan as well as the mayo. Dishes include rice bowls minus any cheese or yogurt sauce. There is also a veggie burger. Staff is knowledgeable and accommodating. Open Mon-Fri 11:00am-12:00am, Sat-Sun 10:00am-12:00am.

nice salad in BC

We had to search for a place for dinner in Fort St. John since nothing was listed on HappyCow that was open for dinner hours. We called and stopped in several places, before trying Browns. Browns had been the first place we stopped, but we were not too excited about the menu, only to find out it seemed the best option in the area. We were not disappointed to have returned. Several options had to be specified or altered to be vegan, but it was so easy and staff were so accommodating. I had the kale salad that came with quinoa and almonds, so it was probably enough protein, but I also ordered the edamame with spicy dipping sauce, which was so yummy. The drinks were great and the place was bustling with business.

Pros: a few good vegan choices, helpful, knowledgeable and accommodating staff, popular place

Cons: the veggie burger is not vegan
