Vegan Bahn-Mi for the win! - Edit
The vegan bahn-mi is a MUST try! It's so good that I get it every time I go to Brown Cow, even though they have different vegan options. I could probably eat 3 of them. Easily. Good coffee, too.

delicious sandwiches - Edit
We had the vegan Bahn Mi and T.L.T. sandwiches, and both were delicious. The weather was nice and it was a pleasant place to sit outside to eat.

The cafe isn't visible from the road, just the sign. Drive up the driveway and the cafe is to the right.

Cool little vegan-friendly cafe - Edit
This cafe was right outside our hotel which was very convenient. They understand vegan and make substitutions for any item on the menu. We had tempeh bacon, tofu breakfast burrito and toast. For coffee drinkers, you can get lattes with almond or soy milk. The food was tasty and I'd go back!

Cute, and a little bit country cafe. A relief to find while traveling. They have a separate vegan menu that has what items you can order. The staff was helpful in finding what we could get vegan -and- gluten free! I got the Thai salad, and it was pretty, super fresh, and flavorful!

Banh Mi bliss! - Edit
Wow!! There are a few vegan options on the menu and I got the Banh Mi sandwich. It's huge and so flavorful- the tofu is delicious and there's a great flavor bomb of fermented cabbage and banana peppers. It comes with chips and I got it on the GF bread. I'll def be back!!

This is really the only place to go in Bennington for fresh vegan food. Breakfast burritos, bean burgers, organic oatmeal, banh mi sandwich, homemade tempeh TLTs, breakfast bowls, salads, and soups. Non-dairy milk options, tofutti, house made tofu feta, etc. Plus it has the best (probably only organic) coffee in town from Mocha Joe's, and all kinds of homemade gluten free and other sweets. Hummus, salsa, tabouli, are all made in house from scratch......and it's got a cool vibe and they play good music.

This was a great find! Located next to our hotel, their menu lists "daily vegan options," which was a surprise in this small town.

If you're passing through or in the area for skiing, this is definitely a good spot for breakfast or lunch - or just a coffee for the road.
