Fresh, flavourful, friendly

One of my favourites, wish I'd visited earlier! The owner is friendly and speaks English, enjoys promoting veganism and will give you recommendations if you wish. Plastic free! The wheat dumplings stole the show for me. The faux meat in the tomato soup noodles is flavourful. Also offer seasonal smoothies (owner can tell you which fruits are available to choose from) - I tried the papaya smoothie. It might be a trip to visit but I think it's worth it :)

5/5

I chose two small dishes,
Stinky tofu: first time trying it, deep and new flavor to me but probably not something I would eat every day 🙃
Some kind of dumplings: definitely something I would eat every day

Great smoothies to complete a healthy meal

Really nice place

We reaaally enjoyed this place!! We ordered the soup with stinky tofu for only 80 NTD. It was very tasty. Then we ordered a kind of scallion pancake. We were so glad to try it cause in the street scallion pancakes are not even vegetarian (cooked in pork oil). The plate with bean curd and stir fried vegetables was also really good!!! (180 NTD this plate + the pancake).
They don't use plastic, which is important to us. The owners can speak English and they were so cute when they told us "thank you for being vegan".
Totally recommend :)

Pros: CUTE staff, Good food, no plastic

Cons: no wifi

Wonderful Food, Great Prices

I LOVE coming to this place in New Taipei City. The owner is really helpful, the food is delicious and the desserts are ever-changing, and you can’t beat the price for filling, vegan, non-gmo food in the greater Taipei area. From the dumplings that melt in your mouth to the fragrant soups and friendly atmosphere this place checks all the boxes.

Pros: Friendly owner, Small plates/light repasts , Quick service

Wonderful place to eat

The owner is very passionate about being vegan, and the food is tasty. The food is served pretty fast considering it’s a popular place, and i’ve only seen two people including the owner cooking the food.

Pros: All vegan, Very tasty food, prices are generous

Unique noodle soups

Best vegan restaurant in the area. They have soup flavours like tomato, Chinese Herbal, Mido and Nori, also Stinky Tofu, curry rice dishes, tartes and cakes, delicious smoothies, like Papaya Milk. Very reasonable prices!! The owner is very talkative (when it's not too busy) and enjoys talking about veganism😄

Fantastic little place

The owner is so wholesome. I went there on my own and he told me if I waited a little longer, that more travellers would show up who I could chat with. He wasn't wrong, come 6pm this place fills up super quickly! Overall the food was so tasty, and very reasonably priced! I also really appreciate the lack of packaging and waste! Take your own containers if you want take away 😊

Pros: Delicious

Seriously, truly my FAVORITE vegan spot!

If you are really seeking for cheap and organic foods, Brother Su is the first choice.
The store owner said he wants to let more people taste healthy vegan foods, so he doesn't earn very much, that's why one can got pretty full even you're with a big appetite.
As a student, I cannot afford meals that the prices are too high, and the prices of their main meals, deserts are surely reasonable.
I like their fruit raw pie so much, every time I go there I would order one to satisfy my sweet tooth.
Even every time my bf from HK comes to Taiwan he'd say he definitely go eat Brother Su's stinky tofu noodles.

As good as it gets

A cozy place with lots of options: dumplings, noodles, rice, cakes...etc. All made with carefully chosen ingredients (mostly organic). They taste fantastic and are of great value. It's a place one will likely to visit again and again. (My family must've dined here like 100 times already)

Pros: Both the quality and variety of food., The hospitality.

Favorite Cafe in Taipei

Chinese Herbal Noodle Soup ~110 NTD. Organic / local where possible, vegan, and so modestly priced compared to Plants, Ooh Cha Cha, etc (220 NTD for a main). Asian cuisine, utilizing ingredients and flavors from here.

I got noodle soup, dumplings, and raw cake for $290 NTD for a friend and I, who were so happy, with leftovers for later.

This is organic vegan eats priced accessibly rather than at a premium, and through gestures like this I feel the heart and ethos of this place.

"Loving food blessing & saving all beings" beckons us at the door. thank uuuu 🙏

Pros: Affordable, Raw cake

I haven't tried ALL their dishes yet but I have to say I love almost items I've ordered. They are simply delicious and at very affordable price. Place is a little small, may have to wait as it get crowded during peak hours.

Great little place

Very nice place, very good value, perhaps the best braised stinky tofu in Taipei.
The owner is clearly very passionate about what he does, and spreading the vegan message.
Well worth the extra journey time out of Taipei City.

Pleasantly surprised

This place is located in an area where I normally don't visit, so I'm very happy that I ended up going there tonight!

I had the Spicy Braised Soup with Noodles and a Gluten-Free Pudding Tart. Both were delicious.

The owner and staff were super friendly and passionate about veganism. They even told me they don't want too many people to come because it's a small space and they want to maintain the quality of their service without letting customers wait for too long. How thoughtful!

If you're in the area I highly recommend that you give it a try!

Pros: delicious food, friendly staff, reasonable price

Cons: a bit far from city center

Great Vegan Restaurant

This was a great find - thanks to whoever added it to Happycow! This restaurant is run by someone clearly passionate about promoting vegan food, so much so that he gave up his job as an engineer 17 years ago to run a vegan restaurant, first one nearby and then he moved to the current location a few years ago.

Food is fairly typical Taiwanese fusion food, with a few interesting twists. I found the fresh pineapple and kimchi side as delicious as it was unique, and it was one the few places in Taiwan I've found Tempeh (fermented soy product), which was also cooked perfectly.

They also produce their own drinks and vegan baking. Prices were reasonable, with healthy, satisfying set meals starting at around NT150, and NT300 got me a feast (side, main, drink and dessert).

It's a little out of the way but only a few stops on the orange line from Guting, and a short walk from the station. On my visit it was very busy with what looked to be local residents stopping by for dinner.

Pros: great food, excellent value, some fairly unique dishes and desserts

Cons: a bit far from central Taipei, but worth the trave
