Fresh, flavourful, friendly - Edit
One of my favourites, wish I'd visited earlier! The owner is friendly and speaks English, enjoys promoting veganism and will give you recommendations if you wish. Plastic free! The wheat dumplings stole the show for me. The faux meat in the tomato soup noodles is flavourful. Also offer seasonal smoothies (owner can tell you which fruits are available to choose from) - I tried the papaya smoothie. It might be a trip to visit but I think it's worth it :)

Really nice place - Edit
We reaaally enjoyed this place!! We ordered the soup with stinky tofu for only 80 NTD. It was very tasty. Then we ordered a kind of scallion pancake. We were so glad to try it cause in the street scallion pancakes are not even vegetarian (cooked in pork oil). The plate with bean curd and stir fried vegetables was also really good!!! (180 NTD this plate + the pancake).
Read moreThey don't use plastic, which is important to us. The owners can speak English and they were so cute when they told us "thank you for being vegan".
Totally recommend :)
Pros: CUTE staff, Good food, no plastic

Wonderful Food, Great Prices - Edit
I LOVE coming to this place in New Taipei City. The owner is really helpful, the food is delicious and the desserts are ever-changing, and you can’t beat the price for filling, vegan, non-gmo food in the greater Taipei area. From the dumplings that melt in your mouth to the fragrant soups and friendly atmosphere this place checks all the boxes.

Best vegan restaurant in the area. They have soup flavours like tomato, Chinese Herbal, Mido and Nori, also Stinky Tofu, curry rice dishes, tartes and cakes, delicious smoothies, like Papaya Milk. Very reasonable prices!! The owner is very talkative (when it's not too busy) and enjoys talking about veganism😄

Fantastic little place - Edit
The owner is so wholesome. I went there on my own and he told me if I waited a little longer, that more travellers would show up who I could chat with. He wasn't wrong, come 6pm this place fills up super quickly! Overall the food was so tasty, and very reasonably priced! I also really appreciate the lack of packaging and waste! Take your own containers if you want take away 😊

Seriously, truly my FAVORITE vegan spot! - Edit
If you are really seeking for cheap and organic foods, Brother Su is the first choice.
Read moreThe store owner said he wants to let more people taste healthy vegan foods, so he doesn't earn very much, that's why one can got pretty full even you're with a big appetite.
As a student, I cannot afford meals that the prices are too high, and the prices of their main meals, deserts are surely reasonable.
I like their fruit raw pie so much, every time I go there I would order one to satisfy my sweet tooth.
Even every time my bf from HK comes to Taiwan he'd say he definitely go eat Brother Su's stinky tofu noodles.

Chinese Herbal Noodle Soup ~110 NTD. Organic / local where possible, vegan, and so modestly priced compared to Plants, Ooh Cha Cha, etc (220 NTD for a main). Asian cuisine, utilizing ingredients and flavors from here.

Great Vegan Restaurant - Edit
This was a great find - thanks to whoever added it to Happycow! This restaurant is run by someone clearly passionate about promoting vegan food, so much so that he gave up his job as an engineer 17 years ago to run a vegan restaurant, first one nearby and then he moved to the current location a few years ago.
Read moreFood is fairly typical Taiwanese fusion food, with a few interesting twists. I found the fresh pineapple and kimchi side as delicious as it was unique, and it was one the few places in Taiwan I've found Tempeh (fermented soy product), which was also cooked perfectly.
They also produce their own drinks and vegan baking. Prices were reasonable, with healthy, satisfying set meals starting at around NT150, and NT300 got me a feast (side, main, drink and dessert).
It's a little out of the way but only a few stops on the orange line from Guting, and a short walk from the station. On my visit it was very busy with what looked to be local residents stopping by for dinner.
Pros: great food, excellent value, some fairly unique dishes and desserts
Cons: a bit far from central Taipei, but worth the trave
