Good Food

First time at the West Sac location, not as nice as the Midtown location was but roughly the same menu.

Hopefully they bring back the vegan Mac & Cheese but still a good spot for a drink and a vegan burger.

A bit has changed.

MIDTOWN LOCATION CLOSED😒This was my first time at this location. Seems a bit rundown but that fits the 'Roadhouse' part.

Food is good. Vegan menu has changed no more vegan mac and cheese.

Pros: Naked fries are delicious with the sauce!

Great vegan & GF options

Has several vegan options including impossible burger, vegan cheese, fried cauliflower with vegan dipping sauce, and a special off-menu vegan taco with corn tortillas that is freaking delicious.

Pros: Several vegan options, Amazing and friendly owner, Great tacos

Cons: Not near downtown

Back in West Sac

Some of the vegan menu has changed. I hope they bring back their house-made nut burger. It was a smart move to hire Sophie.

Pros: Mushroom “cheese steak” is delicious , The “wich” sauce is great

Cons: Pricey for the hood.

vegan burgers

This place has two great vegan burgers. One is the impossible burger and the other is a veggie patty called “tree hugger“. They come with fries or salad, your choice. The fries are delicious. They also have fried cauliflower which is vegan and really good. in fact their menu is very clearly labeled with vegan items. But they serve a lot of meat, so you have to be able to deal with that if you eat here. The restaurant also has great beers on tap and a selection of really good cocktails.

Pros: Some vegan dishes , Fried cauliflower , Great drinks

Cons: Serves A LOT of meat

Options

I appreciate the options they have for vegan customers dining with non-veg people. Other than that, I’d always prefer a more plant-based and health conscious menu.

Good but not healthy

They have an Impossible Burger you can have in place of any burger and vegan Mac and cheese. That’s it. The rest is meat. The food is delicious but definitely not healthy.

Pros: Impossible burger

Cons: Mostly meat, Loud

Very limited vegan options

Although there once were several options, now the only vegan sandwich on the menu is eggless salad. I no longer can recommend this place.

Unfortunately, no longer vegan friendly

I used to go once a month or so, as they had several great, expressly vegan options on their menu. Unfortunately I went a month or so ago, and they've completely redesigned their menu, gutting the vegan options. Our server was friendly and helpful about it, and got the kitchen to make a special vegan plate for me. It was fine, but totally unremarkable, and a far cry from the several delicious, thoughtful vegan items they used to have (I especially liked the BBQ tofu sandwich, which is no more.)

She basically said that not enough people ordered the vegan options, so when the menu was being redesigned, they got cut.

It's too bad: I liked that it was basically a (slightly classy) bar with excellent vegan options, a good local beer selection, and friendly people. But I won't bother going back unless and until they put the vegan items back on the menu.

Pros: friendly people, casual bar atmosphere

Cons: no longer vegan friendly

Yummy!

My partner and I enjoy the vegan items on the menu. The ambiance is also nice - Broderick looks like a speak-easy inside. My favorite item is the veggie burger and they have yummy salads and fries. The tofu is organic and local. As far as I understand, all of their food is from the farmers markets. Another cool thing is that Broderick has a separate kitchen for exclusively making their delicious vegan food.
