Amazing Flavor, Unique concept - Edit
For context, I visited their Food Truck while at the Eastern States Exposition (aka The Big E).
Read moreThis place has got to be the weirdest yet most refreshing concept I've seen at a fair, let alone a restaurant. And I mean that in a good way.
I was walking thru the fairgrounds when I see a small gathering of people dancing around a foodtruck. The food truck had it's own DJ playing live music while dressed in a broccoli costume. That alone was enough to grab my attention.
Then I notice the food, which was also prepared by costumed staff, the food looked amazing. Being vegan I assumed I couldn't have any. So after jamming out for a bit, I walked away wishing I could have had some.
That's when I saw the sign, the sign that read 100% Vegan. When I read those words I ran back to the line and placed my order. Sure it looked and smelled amazing, but how did it taste?
Well I'm glad to say it was bliss to my tastebuds. The flavors all popped really well. Everything was just bursting with unique flavors and colors. So glad I was able to try this.
This definitely became my winner for the best fair food at the Big E 2024.

Vegan fast food - Edit
All vegan-sort of fast fried but on the brink of healthy food. The big sexy bowl was really good esp the fried broccoli. The onion rings were good too.

Delicious food - Edit
I came here at the suggestion of a friend and I’m super glad I did. It’s extremely tasty. They have a platter of all the options, which I highly suggest. The veggie burger is also super good, and I preferred it over an impossible patty.

Refreshing - Edit
I tried this place for the first time today. The siracha-maple fried broccoli was amazing — the others were good too, but highly recommend the fried broccoli.

YUP! the hit burlington sensation has made its move to right around the corner from me and i cant be more happy. not only is the comfort broccoli staples still there, but there’s an amazing addition of sandwiches and soup. so far i’ve tried the rick reuben and po’girl which are pheNOMenal. the beet juice seitan was insanely good. don’t get confused by the name, you will leave here full, happy, and with money still in your pocket!

As fantastic as I remember - Edit
Tried their food truck a year ago at Vegandale and am so happy they came to Brooklyn. Despite what you may think from their name, this is some satisfying comfort food. The stir fry broccoli, dumplings and pakora are amazingly tasty and filling. I also love their Buddha wrap which is packed to the brim with stir fry and rice. Highly recommend stopping by again and again

Excellent feel-good food - Edit
I first had the Broccoli Bar at Vegandale and it was easily my favorite meal of the whole weekend. When I learned that they were coming to New York I nearly wept. The food is beyond good, great portion sizes, well-priced, and very healthy. I feel great every time I eat here, and as a very large man who can really pack it in, that’s hard to accomplish. They’ve recently expanded their menu so I’ve got a lot to try out.

Cons: Not right next door to me
