They have a vegan menu - Edit
They have a vegan menu but the best food is what is accidentally vegan. I prefer a salad that is vegan because it is, rather than a contrived dish like cauliflower/quinoa tacos.

Totally worth it! - Edit
Brixx has really expanded their vegan/vegetarian menu. My husband is a meat eater yet he even enjoys the vegan options! Everything is so delicious. I've never had an issue eating here.

Dedicated vegan menu - Edit
Love that this place has a dedicated vegan menu. I had the Beyond burger; would go back to try the nachos. They also have a diverse beer selection, nice atmosphere, and cute outdoor seating area.

Decent if in the Area - Edit
Went there and had nachos that were pretty good, but not amazing. Had a pizza that was also pretty good but not amazing.

Nothing spectacular - Edit
They do have a separate vegan menu. GF options but not well labeled on the menu. They were out of VGF pizza crusts when we went so I wasn't able to try pizza. Two small tacos with hardly any filling for $12 was very steep imo. The nachos were good, but got very soggy.

Pros: Separate vegan menu
Cons: Not particularly tasty

Vegan menu! - Edit
I'm happy that they offer a vegan menu. It's nice! It's a nice bar but it's kind of pricey.

Surprised by the number of selections - Edit
When friends said they wanted to meet here I figured another night of searching thru a menu to try to find or alter some dish just so that I could eat and share a few drinks with them. But I was shocked to find a burger, pizza, tacos and pasta selections labeled vegan. These are not "gourmet" selections prepared by a vegan chef, but comfort food bar/restaurant type dishes made instead with the Impossible burger or Impossible sausage, vegan cheese and chickpea pasta (and likely cooked on the same cooking utensils). Still, it's nice to go to a regular place with non-vegan friends where you can find a number of clearly marked vegan dishes you don't have to alter. I did not notice any vegan drinks or alcohol, so you need to know yourself which beer, wines or other drinks are okay.
Read moreI give it one extra star just for the effort of giving us a "regular" place to go to or hangout with non-vegan friends and not feeling like a geek.
Pros: Good selection of comfort/bar foods, Menu clearly marked, Regular sports bar, hangout vibe.
Cons: Pricey, Comfort food, nothing healthy, gourmet or novel

Not my favorite burger - Edit
I've tried their Beyond burger which came with sweet potatoe fries and I personally didn't enjoy it too much. For me the burger didn't have much flavor and the sweet potato fries were soggy.. but try it for yourself to see if you like it. I plan on goin back to try their vegan pizza and pasta primavera

A great vegan option in the Long Beach area - Edit
Being a vegan, there can be challenges when it comes to getting take out food. But Brixx and Barley got you covered, they have a few vegan options to pick from and they are all delicious. I have been going here for a while now and they are one of my favorites in the Long Beach area.
