Good burger and chips

The plant burger and chips were tasty, but it’s a shame it’s only one of two vegan options. The pub itself has a nice atmosphere and really enjoyed the local beers.

Worst chilli of my life

Only had one vegan item on the menu, the chilli was awful. It was watery and it tasted like it only had chilli powder and no other spices or herbs in it. Then to top it off it was £15! I had to go to Booths in Windamere to buy some actual food.

It might be different if you call ahead, we did not.

Smaller menu but lovely service

Currently have a reduced menu due to Covid-19, but have great measure in place and I felt very safe.
Have Kingstone press cider on tap (vegan) and a lovely chilli that can easily be made vegan for dinner.

Pros: Vegan cider on tap, Great home cooking with lovely vegan option

Cons: Only one vegan main option due to covid-19

Very very happy.

This has a large menu with one or two vegan options. HOWEVER,  if you are staying and let them know in advance that you are vegan,  the chef would be delighted to prepare a separate vegan menu for you. My wife and I stayed 4 nights and had a different menu each evening with a choice of 3 starters, 3 mains and 3 desserts. Quite frankly the food and choice was excellent - and better than many vegan restaurants I've been too. The Inn also provided a vegan packed lunch and made sure there was a range of plant milks available for breakfast. Can't rate them highly enough (would have given 5 stars but the Happy Cow max rating for non vegan is four stars).

Pros: Happy to provide proper vegan menu if you are stay
