Lovely and healthy! - Edit
Small tranquil place that gives off a very alternative vibe which I really liked!
Read moreIt feels like being hosted at the house of a friend, the staff is friendly, the food was good and I felt it was the perfect amount and provided me with all the nutrients I needed😄
I loved their focaccia and the variety of veggies they add to your dish! We ordered some cake for takeaway and they accidentally cut one piece too much so they just gave it to us for free - lovely folks!

Dont order pizza - Edit
The aracini was wonderful people were friendly! Then came the pizza… I had no idea I had to travel to Italy to eat the worst pizza I ever had. It was amazingly bad.

Awful - Edit
The only reason for two stars is the taste of the aranchini, which was good. But the pizza that came after is the most horrible pizza I ever had. The dough was sweet, undercooked and greasy.

Come a casa - Edit

I don't think this is the place. - Edit
Only go when you are living in Rome. This isn't the place for a tourist. Bad food, bad service, long trip. 😥

The best of the best of the best of the best - Edit

Cozy place, nice service - Edit
I was not sure whether to give 3 or 4 stars. I gave 4 for several reasons : the place is nice and the service is good. They are polite and friendly. The pasta was OK. I think it could have been better, thought... There was a little bit of flavor missing although there were loads of tasty things in there. But something that really made me decide for the 4th star, was the maritozzo with vegan whipped cream. That was fantastic! The prices are reasonable, considering we are in Rome. However I'd recommend it for a nice quiete lunch or a dinner.

A little gem - Edit
This place is tiny, so you must book in advance if you want to eat for lunch or dinner. It's a bit better during spring/summer season because you can sit at the tables outside. Breaking Bread is a mix between a bistrot and a bakery and everything is 100% vegan. They make amazing bread (hence the name), pizzas, homemade pasta, pastries and sweets. The savoury menu changes and everything is homemade. They use an hemp flour mix for their pizzas, so they are high in proteins.
Read moreI love going for "aperitivo" because they serve great "taglieri" (wooden boards) loaded with different kinds of food and the portions are very generous.

Worth a Walk - Edit
A small, unpretentious local cafe which is fully vegan. I walked here from the central area of Rome and it was worth the effort - a cheerful welcome and a decent breakfast!

Kind staff, lovely pastries - Edit
Though slightly remote from the city center, I've found this place to be worth a visit, as the staff is welcoming and warm and you can feel their joy in doing what they do - a variety of buns, cakes, croissants, and others, all vegan to the bone😉Great for a lazy morning coffee.

Amazing! - Edit
This was one of my favorite vegan places in Rome! My girlfriend and I ate here on three separate occasions. Their baked goods are delicious and they also do small pizzas and huge vegan sandwiches, which are the best vegan sandwiches I’ve ever had. The cappuccino is also wonderful and the staff is extremely friendly. My girlfriend and I came back and they knew exactly what we wanted before we said anything which was nice to know that they remembered us and what we ordered. They have little tables outside to sit and enjoy their delicious food or you can get it to go which we did before we needed to catch our flight. The prices are absolutely unbeatable. They give you so much for a great cost. Give it a shot!

amazing!!! - Edit
I am very proud to be the first reviewer of Breaking Bread Bistrot, because I love this place! I have been there several times and it has never disapointed me. Breaking Bread has very long opening hours so you can go there to have breakfast, to buy some amazing bread, to have lunch or dinner or before dinner to enjoy an aperitif. They also organize a Sunday brunch. The place is small, so booking in advanced is needed if you want to have lunch or dinner. Otherwise, you can just pop in and see what they have on display, their bread is absolutely amazing (usually they have a hemp and a turmeric type, but you might find also some new creations), their pizzas, their muffins and croissants are delicious too. As aperitif, they offer a "tagliere" which is a dish with different kinds of bread, vegetables, spreads. They have it in different sizes according to how hungry you are and how many people you are sharing your tagliere with. The menu for lunch and dinner changes daily. The pasta they serve is home made and it is awesome. They also serve vegan Sicilian cannoli.
