Decent vegan fair

If you’re in the downtown area good place to insure you’re getting vegan food. We tried lots of options-all tasty. Was a little disappointed in the muffanada. Didn’t detect the olive mix that’s (in my opinion what defines a muffuletta) and for a bakery the bread was more like a thin English muffin than muffuletta bread (which is shown in the photo on the web site)

Pros: Good location , All vegan, Lots of options

All Vegan! ❤️

Stopped by Breads on Oak and could not believe the amazing options they had - all vegan! The bread is so perfect and the sweets are to die for. I can not recommend this place enough. Please stop by if you come to Nola.

Delicious!

We had the loaded burger and the pumpkin biscuit sandwich and they were both phenomenal. They have so many layers of flavor. We also took a brioche bun to go, and again, amazing. The texture was perfect (which is very impressive for a vegan enriched dough) and it had just the right amount of sweetness. I also love that the shop has a super cute boulangerie look, rather than a hippie vegan vibe. Several people came in not knowing it was vegan, but stayed for the deliciousness anyway.

An absolute favorite spot

I was on a business trip for a few days and this was the only place I went to more than once. I honestly wish I was there longer to try more items on the menu. From the trips I made there, I tried two biscuits (Pumpkin Cheddar Biscuit & Biscuit Tower), TLTA, cheese grits, King’s cake, and their chocolate brownie samples. I wish I could choose a favorite, but that is close to impossible. It was all amazing and I want to go back!

Pros: Delicious foods and many options (savory & sweet), Friendly Staff/fast service, Excellent prices

Cons: None (wish they were open 24 hours- lol), I don’t live here

Super satisfying breakfast

Vegan bakeries are quite common in decent-sized cities. I don’t have much of a sweet tooth so I typically don’t get excited about them. What sets this place apart is that it has a huge selection of savory breakfast choices. I couldn’t help myself - I stuffed myself with the tofu quiche and a pumpkin “cheddar” biscuit that featured vegan sausage, tomato, and an outstanding sauce.

I can’t wait to go back.

OMG King Cakes!

Stopped by for breakfast while in town visiting. Had breakfast biscuit sandwiches, coffee, and King Cake. Soy, Almond, oat, and coconut milk are all out and available for you to put in your coffee yourself. They have all vegan King cakes and they were DELICIOUS. Also, in an effort to be more sustainable, instead of plastic babies, they do almonds!! 😍

Pros: Vegan King Cakes during Mardi Gras, All vegan menu

Cons: Mardi Gras King Cakes are not year round.

Friendly and delicious

Really nice atmosphere and lots of breakfast options, fresh sandwiches and cakes from an entirely vegan menu. Had the chickpea egg sandwich (to go) which was delicious. Highly recommend this place.

Vegan King Cake

It was the happiest day when I walked in and saw vegan king cake. I ordered some right away, tried a bite, then ordered more. It's that good!

I also got a Mighty Melt, which to my disappointment, came out COLD. So I wondered why the name "melt". I actually just noticed on the menu that it's listed under hot sandwiches. It wasn't just cool (room temp). It was cold like it all came straight from the fridge.😒I think it would've been incredible if it was heated.

My friend and I split the Mighty Melt and a Muffanada. This was a great sandwich although the bread is a bit tough.

The potato fries were delicious. I love thick, house cut fries. I liked the dip too. We sampled a chocolate cookie and it was perfect!

I was eyeballing the breakfast biscuit the whole time as well as their many other amazing offerings. I'll definitely go back to try some other menu items.

Pros: Friendly service, Loads of options

Best vegan bakery & cafe!

Everything about this cafe is wonderful. From the organic fair trade coffee and sourdough breads, to the biscuit breakfast sandwiches and house made burger with handcut fries. You taste the quality fresh ingredients. And the staff is so nice, patient and helpful. It’s a brand new mirror of their original location on Oak Street in NOLA except with a cool downtown vibe. There’s even an assortment of grab and go sandwiches and salads when you’re in a bit of a hurry. And they’re adding outdoor seating too!

Pros: Price , Atmosphere, Quality ingredients

Still magical, extra location!

Breads on Oak is one of my favorite places. Every single thing is vegan. You can get sweet, savory, snack, or meal. The thumbprint cookies are my favorite sweet treat. Those cinnamon walnut brioche's are dangerously delicious. The sausage biscuit with coffee is a favorite breakfast. Their burgers and sandwiches are amazing. And as I'm writing this, they have king cakes. If you haven't had a Breads on Oak king cake, you are depriving yourself, go remedy it asap.

Pros: ALL VEGAN
