Everything was great!
Read moreI had the pumpkin breakfast biscuit sandwich and it was amazing! The house made sausage is delicious and the potatoes w/ aioli was perfectly flavored.
The cookie and Boston cream doughnut I took to go was also really good. Highly recommend this spot!

This place is so worth a visit! Went twice while in New Orleans and had one of the breakfast sandwiches and three types of stuffed brioche donuts and all were delicious.

Very tasty - Edit
The vegan muffanada was very well done! The vegan deli slices were thinly sliced and had great texture and flavor. The pumpkin cheddar biscuit was moist and flavorful. The andouille “sausage” served on the biscuit is field roast Spicy Mexican. The brioche donut was also very tasty. The Boston Cream donut wasn’t exactly your traditional cream flavor, it was very coconutty, but I liked it! It was unique. The only thing I didn’t like were the grits. Not very flavorful. Overall very good and would definitely come back.

Best pastries 🥐 I have had . Land & Monkey in Paris is on another level. The breakfast sandwiches were busting with so much great flavors & taste. Went here twice. Was here for JazzFest , good that I could dance off the calories. 😂

Many veganized options - egg on biscuit, egg cheese toast, muffanada (vegan muffeletta), quiche... Very impressive.

All the vegan things! - Edit
We had the creole omelette toast with a side of cheesy grits. And if I could get one of everything I see in this lovely gem of a bakery I would! May have to swing by before we end our trip to NOLA for a Vieux Carre Miche to take home. Drinking a dirty chai here also for my first time and love it. Always supporting the 100% vegan establishments.

Vegan muffalettas!! - Edit
Before I went vegan this was my favorite sandwich...and it still is. They make a great vegan version of the Muffaletta (they call it the Muffanada) sandwich. We also ordered the vegetable quiche which was really good, but I don't like mushrooms and it had a lot of them, so my bf ate most of it. The eclair was sooo good too! No filling tho. Definitely coming back next time I'm in town.

Tasty sandwiches - Edit
We've been here multiple times during our stay in Nola, as this place was very close to our hotel and while most of the other entirely vegan places where outside of the city center, this one is not. We tried the Fancy Farmer, Avocado Scramble toast (my favorite), Roasted vegetable quiche, Egg O'vegan (quite fatty and no greens on it) as well as some of the sweet pastries and hot chocolate.

You cannot go wrong with Breads on Oak. Everything is well crafted and tasty. The owners are the kindest people who are passionate about creating good, artisan vegan food. If you live in or are visiting the city, make it a priority to scope this place out.

Runs out fast!! - Edit
Delicious food, just be careful because they run out very quick. When we got here around 1pm, they were out of the grits, almost all breads and running low on some pastries. The food itself is very fresh and unique. My one note is that I was disappointed my eclair had no filling.

Great vegan bakery/cafe - Edit
Bread on Oaks has a well thought out menu with lots of variety. The bakery is all vegan and the food is delicious and filling. They also have Espresso and coffee, with limited flavor options that are okay. They are a small satellite location of the bigger main bakery and get their items from them. It's best to get there earlier rather than later in the day before they run out. They close at 2pm.

Best Vegan Breakfast - Edit
The best vegan breakfast I’ve ever had. I was visiting for Mardi Gras. I loved it so much I went back 3 days in a row. I loved the biscuit towers. Each was unique and fantastically flavorful. The bakery items were also amazing. My husband (not vegan) couldn’t tell the difference.. The staff was helpful and extremely friendly. They showed me their list of vegan and vegan option restaurants in the area and let me take a picture of the list. So thoughtful of them. The first time I’ve traveled and ate so well.

Amazing biscuit! Tofu "eggs" and the "ham" were so good. Why do people eat animals? This was so delicious. Beautiful cafe with chalkboard menu and animal art on the walls. Must have if you're in the area!
