One if the best dining experiences I've ever had - Edit
Dining at B.U. takes about 2.5-3 hours and goes by in a flash! It's a fixed menu and you need to mention that you're vegan at least 24 hrs in advance. It was very easy to book a reservation and mention that we were vegan. The food was creative, the atmosphere is inviting and the service/experience was top notch. Vegan fine dining.

Delicious food, perfect evening - Edit
We had the best evening at Brasserie Uno. We pre booked and advised of vegan diet. Had taster menu and wine, it was beautifully explained, delicious food, and super casual and slow. It was an amazing experience. Not cheap, but in Zermatt nothing is, so in comparison not bad! Worth it for the experience.

No vegan options this summer (2021) - Edit
The brasserie uno is hosting a pop-up restaurant this summer season. The galettes contain eggs; no vegan (food) options unfortunately. Friendly staff though, nice place and great cidre.

Interesting food and nice place - Edit
Had a leave salad with chanterelles which was ok. As a main course we had a freshly prepared grilled tofu with Wasabi mash and seasonal veggs. The other main dish was a paella rice with an asian touch. Good to find places like this when you are starving and want to eat serious and interesting vegg dishes.

Very delicous - Edit
Went there on a Sunday, there was only one vegan option: a lentil wheat grain risotto with a roasted caulyflower - more delicious than it sounds! My non-vegan friend also loved it. Also the offered starter (hot houmus in a courchetteflower) was awesome!

Awsome food, great atmosphere - Edit
We both had the vegan balls with mash, very tasty. There were another couple of vegan options and staff will make sure you only get vegan dishes if you let them know, including options for the complimentary taster. All the food was tasty and filling, location is nice usual warning about the price of things in Switzerland applies. Takes credit cards.

Perfection! - Edit
We ate here and I loved it. The atmosphere is relaxed and friendly with an open kitchen. The food is really high quality and they care about their ingredients. The server was extremely knowledgeable about all dishes and talked us through them in detail. Most were either vegan or could be adapted to be vegan.

Swedish inspiration - Edit
We went here on the national day of Sweden (by chance) and had a nice two course dinner, a salad for starter and the balls with mashed potatoes for mains. We were 5-star happy with both the food and the service.

Vegan Balls - Edit
We had a pleasant dinner, nice wait service, wine was well price, salad with tofu had a simple light dressing, ask for bread. I had the Vegan Balls, I thought were on the heavy side and very lightly seasoned with well blended whipped potatoes, dish was very homey and very lightly seasoned. Bit bland for me. You’ll walk out feeling so full. Nice to see more vegan options In Europe.

A Welcome Option for Vegans in Zermatt - Edit
My husband and I went here for our only dinner out in Zermatt, and he found the restaurant through Happy Cow. He was nervous as there were only 3 menu items that were vegan, but these options were delicious!! We both got the Vegan Balls which were so satisfying. If I were to go back I'd try the other item as well. I also had a chocolate lava cake with sorbet for dessert, and it was perfect. The dish is pricey--2 entrees, 2 drinks, and 1 dessert came to 110 CHF, but Zermatt is typically expensive, and hey, when the dish has clearly been cooked with some love I'll pay more!

Amazingly amazing - Edit
Zermatt is one of the most beautiful villages in Switzerland, with amazing mountain views all around. While there are views to last a lifetime, there isn't much in the way of vegan food in the many restaurants. That's why Brasserie Uno is such a welcome new addition to this gorgeous village.
Read moreThis isn't one of those places where you have to use a secret password to get to see the vegan menu, or ask them to cook something special, or just get the pasta. There are several Vegan items all the time on the regularly changing menu.
My appetizer was the best soup I've ever had, a Carrot-Coriander soup topped with fried Jerusalem Artichoke. For main I had the Vegan Balls, which were fantastic. So much so that several non vegans in the restaurant that night ordered them and also really liked them. Desert was chocolate cake.
The restaurant is small and intimate with friendly and attentive waitstaff.
If you are planning on spending any time in Zermatt, this is a must. If you are in Switzerland, hop on a train and go to Zermatt, it's an amazing village and Brasserie Uno makes it even more so.
Pros: Vegan items on menu for starters, main and desert!, Soups are amazing., Vegan balls!

FANTASTIC! - Edit
Zermatt is a tough place to find vegan food so we were thrilled to find this restaurant. The food was excellent. (Some of the dishes were a little salty for us, but we don’t normally use salt.) Portions were a good size and very filling. Prices were in line with other restaurants in Zermatt.

AMAZING vegan options! - Edit
For an entree, I got the vegan balls with mashed potato and lingenberries and it was delicious. It was only topped by the carrot-coriander soup that we got as a starter, which was absolutely perfect and possibly in my top 10 foods I've ever had. We finished off with a chocolate cake topped with sorbet. All the food was absolutely delicious, the server was very friendly and was happy to answer any questions we had on the menu. Would definitely reccomend for vegan food in Zermatt!!

Proper vegan food - Edit
We both had the falafel to start and the roasted celeriac and vegan meatballs for main. Food was great, although two courses each and a bottle of wine for two came to 150 Francs. Nice to find a restaurant where the only option isn’t salad or tomato pasta/pizza as a vegan in Zermatt 👌🏻
