Caff - Edit
Well, it's an English style cafe, better than greasy spoon, but you get the idea.
Read moreWhat they did very well was speed of service. Lightning fast.
They offer a Vegan burger and a Vegetarian fry, tray bakes and scones might be ok, but the veg menu is not huge.
I got the small veggie breakfast, was quite well cooked and the mushrooms were cooked properly (in dry pan), which you never get.
Full of donaghadee people: it is a very quaint and well positioned town, with a lot of sunbaked older folks and loyalisty men.
Enjoyed eating it, a solid effort.
Alternative in the town is Grace Neill's which will charge you £17 for one course.
Pros: Speed of service
Cons: Limited menu

No vegan breakfast - Edit
I looked online and seen a vegan fry on their menu, but when I got there there was no vegan fry and they said they had vegan sausages but nothing else to make up a vegan breakfast.

Vegans give it a miss - Edit
I ordered the vegan roll & my partner had the vegan roll & half a stuffed pepper. After informing the woman who took our order that we were vegan, she asked if we'd like salad and coleslaw with our meal. I said yes please if the coleslaw is vegan. Only to be told no it wasn't.

Donaghadee gem - Edit
I have been here twice. Both times in need of shelter from the rain or a sit down and the place with a sea view was closing. Large upstairs area with art for sale and an outside area away from the street which looks peaceful and you would never guess was there. Both times there have been vegan stuffed peppers available. Tasty with vegan cheese on top. Also vegan sausage rolls. Likely made on site as filling is more like veg/legume than fake meat. On the menu it looks like there are also vegan breakfasts on offer. Wide range of teas and coffees available. Also have a counter selling some take away specialty/artisanal items like chocolate, condiments, fancy popcorn etc and some of these are likely vegan too if you want something sweet as on neither occasion were any of their traybakes/scones etc vegan friendly. Hopefully they will add some if there is the demand as I am told the owner was going to do some. This place even supplies some of the desserts for a local restaurant, so they must be good!
