Even though I got here at 9am they were nice to still make nachos for me, along with their breakfast sammie. The nachos were incredible and unique, very fresh and crisp veggies. The sauce and homemade biscuit were very tasty. I was just driving through town and had to stop by !

...if I were staying in Charlottesville. They can keep you happy from breakfast (well, brunch on the wknds) to cocktails, and it looks like they know what to do with coffee. Stylish and chill inside with patient and sweet staff. Food is upscale but not stuffy.
Read moreI always test out a vegan place by checking out how they do their Caesar salad, and this one was delicious and large, with crispy toasted chickpeas for croutons, great idea. My spouse's mushroom bacon BLT was unique, and I grabbed any scrap of bacon that fell out. We also had the cauli bites (another test item I seem to order everywhere) which were creative and tasty. I can't wait to try out a cocktail next time. We were thrilled to find this right on the pedestrian mall, a place that could keep us occupied for hours in nice weather.
I will NOT miss the street corn and the hash browns next time!

Crispy hash browns!! - Edit
We stopped in for lunch on our way through C-ville and what a nice surprise! Right on the walking mall, cute decor, and super-friendly staff. We ordered Mac & cheese, Unami potatoes (hash browns), crispy cauliflower bowl, and gochu street corn. Everything very good — everything had some kind of creamy sauce drizzled on top which was delicious— very rich. The hash browns were a table fav. Will go again and highly recommend.

Read moreHe'd had the sweet potato bowl, saying the BBQ sauce would be difficult to replicate. We also tried the Miso mac n cheese, excellent, and the Wonton Nachos. Nachos were perfect. Stayed crunchy, toppings were plentiful, beautifully curated flavors.
From our previous visit:
Crispy cauliflower bowl - beautiful variety in flavors and textures, joyful experience.
Fried oyster mushroom sandwich - the sourdough was so soft, mmm.
Matcha Latte - divine. Just divine.
Spiced Chai Latte - creamy & spicy & pretty.
Charcuterie board - unique & fantastic in every way. Vegan honey. A pepper Jack. A smoky cheese. A creamy cheese. Came with fruit & crackers. Pickles & pickled veg. Fig salami. Raspberry jam.
Bagels - also great, got everything bagels w/ the miyoko's cream cheese (we took them to-go, mixed the cream cheese with a bit of their vegan honey for one bagel as an experiment and it did not disappoint)

Interesting Vegan Cafe - Edit
There’s a limited variety of choices. Hopefully as they succeed, they will add more to the menu. The mushroom bacon is way too salty however a really good idea. The mac and cheese could be more cheesy, it was somewhat dry.

At time of review, arguably the only all-vegan full restaurant in Charlottesville. Wonton platter and various fried mushroom dishes were exceptional, but I'd say everything on the menu is tasty enough to try once and not be disappointed. Almond bar for dessert was delicious.

Wonderful vegan food in a great location - Edit
I love the downtown pedestrian mall in Charlottesville, yet it always bugged me there wasn’t a single purely vegan (or even purely vegetarian) restaurant among the many places to eat. UNTIL NOW — and what’s even better? It’s delicious AND healthy. I have eaten there twice so far, and will probably work my way through the entire menu with time. I had the small pesto pasta bowl the first time, which was yummy (although a bit one-sided as a meal — I would probably would add a salad to that next time). The second time, I had their “tuna” sandwich, which I thoroughly enjoyed. Not too heavy, just right for a summer evening.

Amazing vegan fare - Edit
Went here a few weeks back. I couldn’t wait for a real vegan restaurant in Charlottesville. Finally! Had the cauliflower bowl. Wow! Fresh ingredients, good portion, great customer service and a wealth of options. I love that I don’t even have to ask if it is vegan. Everything is! Highly recommend.
