Welcoming spot. - Edit
While the menu does not list vegan options, they make the food from scratch and are happy to accommodate a request for vegan dishes.

Best Thai in a region with few contenders - Edit
For those of us who love Thai food, the Four Corners region doesn’t have much to offer, so we’re always appreciative of a Thai place with decent vegan options here. Boon’s Family Thai is currently the best in the area: a step above Chang Thai in north Durango and two steps above Sizzling Siam in downtown Durango.
Read moreBoon’s is fairly vegan-friendly: the menu doesn’t clearly mark vegan options, but they say most items can be prepared vegan on request, and some of the servers are knowledgeable and helpful in that regard.
The drunken noodles (pad khee mao) can be prepared vegan, and they’re reasonably good — though, as is common in many small-town Thai places, it isn’t made with the customary thick-and-chewy rice noodles, but it’s satisfying enough if one isn’t too fussy about authenticity or texture (and it’s better than at both of the two places mentioned above).
The green curry can be made vegan as well, and is delicious (though very salty). Note that when we’ve asked whether the other curries can be made vegan or if they have shrimp paste or fish sauce pre-mixed into the curry paste, we’ve received conflicting responses from different servers, so we’ve steered clear. If anyone gets a convincingly definitive answer, please post.
All rice dishes can be ordered with brown rice instead of white for an extra dollar.
Another item that can be veganized here, is the Thai iced tea, when requested with coconut milk instead of condensed milk — sweet relief on hot summer days.

Tried 2 different curries (Masaman and Red). Both were fantastic and had really nice spicy/heat. Definitely a place to stop when here.
