Very Unpleasant Experience

A nicely decorated restaurant located in central Dortmund, near the "Stadt Garten" station. Most of the vegan options labeled on the menu were not available (some were only available during the week). Ordering is a huge mess: you have to go to the kitchen, which is divided into several sections. You even have to guess whether your order should be placed in that section. We ordered the vegan soup. It was reasonable, nothing exceptional. It came with a loaf of bread. To pay, the cashier (who I understood was the manager) didn't speak English, only German, so the communication was quite difficult and it ended up in quite a complicated and troubled situation at the end, which was quite unpleasant.

Restaurante com uma boa decoração, localizado na região central de Dortmund, perto da estação “Stadt Garten”. A grande maioria das opções veganas rotuladas no cardápio não estavam disponíveis (algumas só disponíveis durante a semana). Pra fazer o pedido, é uma confusão tremenda: você tem que ir até a cozinha, que é dividida em várias seções. Você ainda tem que adivinhar se o seu pedido deve ser feito naquela seção. Pedimos a sopa vegana. Estava razoável, nada excepcional. Vinha acompanhada de um pão. Pra pagar, o caixa (que pelo que entendi era o gerente) não falava inglês, somente em alemão, então a comunicação foi bastante difícil e chegou numa situação bastante complicada e conturbada no final, o que foi bastante desagradável.

Tasty and not so usual dishes

We chose this restaurant, because it was quite new on HappyCow. They have a "Vapiano"-Style self-service, which is a bit weird, because the still got a lot of of service staff. Once you get accustomed with the menu, there are some vegan choices. We went for the vegan Pide with Hummus. The hummus and drinks can be really recommended.

Pros: A few quite unusual vegan dishes, Tasty

Cons: Not that many vegan voices, Quite expensive
