Small coffee house in downtown offering espresso, non-caffeinated date seed coffee, house-made chai, light snacks and pastries. Open Mon-Sat 8:00am-9:00pm, Sun 9:00am-6:00pm.
The Hummus Avocado Toast comes with a spice Mix sprinkled over it, which is tangy and hot at the same time and takes the dish to the next level. The oat meal was excellent as well, with fruits and date syrup. The Chai Latte was mild, maybe I should have asked them to make it stronger and overly sweet with the date syrup
small coffeehouse downtown LA just a few blocks from where we are staying. they have a special vegan menu with food, a ton of milk alternatives. the owner and i ended up talking for like 30 minutes, super friendly.
This small coffee shop/cafe is a great place to chill out and read or talk with the owner.
The biggest selling point is the phenomenal chai they make here, all from-scratch with freshly ground spices. You can tell them you want it spicier or milder, sweet or not, and choose from Elmhurst non-dairy milks (I like oat best, but almond works well, too).
They also have some vegan baked goods and a nice simple snack of dates filled with almond butter.
You can't get chai like this anywhere else in Los Angeles, that's for sure.
