Just the best dim sum - Edit
Such a lovely location in the park! We went for the dim sum lunch and everything we ate was amazing. It was just a shame we couldn’t fit it in more! We walked here from the opera house through the botanical gardens which is a lovely way to get there if you have time :)

Seriously incredible - Edit
Definitely take your Omni friends here- their minds (alongside yours) will be blown by the flavours in this Pan-Asian / Yum Cha restaurant. I recommend the green tea & choysum dumplings, bbq bread buns, pan fried “duck” dumpling, and vegetable curry puff. This is a beautiful dining experience and worth every penny for an occasion or event to treat yourself. Despite all food being free from onion, garlic, chives, leek and spring onions (via website)- their dishes are all extremely flavoursome.

Most of the dishes great! - Edit
Highlight was the peking duck, absolutely fantastic. The salt and pepper prawns were also great. Tempeh sliders were good, just the mushroom dumplings for us were a bit too much mushroom and not much other taste coming through. Would definitely go back though!

Outstanding - Edit
I came here by myself at night. I wasn’t sure what to order but opted for a couple of entrees, and a dessert. They also had delicious mocktails. The dumplings and the chicken skewers were delicious and tasted incredibly fresh. I also loved the mocktail and the presentation of it. The deconstructed crème brûlée was just amazing. I ate everything and I was super impressed. Service was great too. It’s a bit more expensive than other dinners but well worth it.

Soo Good ! - Edit
Such a good restaurant! All completely vegan, including the cocktails etc. Really convincing fake meat options - the chicken skewers and Peking duck are amaaazing. Staff are lovely and the service is good, they give you blankets when it’s cold too as most of the seats are outdoors. Super nice outside area in the park with cute lighting. Definitely recommend!

Just a wow! - Edit
All the Asian vegan options (most of them are Chinese cuisine) served at table for lunchtime. All dishes are fresh since they have just been cooked and served instantly. Being outdoor in the park is a good experience, but it could be a bit harsh sometimes in the summer.

Tasty food but poor service - Edit
All vegan yum cha - was incredibly amazing food and in a lovely location, incredibly busy so must book & you only get an hour of eating time before getting kicked out. We went 2pm on a Sunday arvo and was so busy, we got placed at the very back near kitchen and was sooo hot , we asked if they could turn on big ceiling fans but said they couldn’t? (What’s the point of having them) also took AGES for any staff to come to your table because it was so busy. However the staff were really friendly. The food was really delish but unfortunately we were never served dessert , they just never came around even though we asked 3 different staff members then we got kicked out after our time was up, so that kind of ruined the experience.

I couldn’t recommend this place higher. If you’re looking for a restaurant to take your non-vegan friends that will blow their freakin’ minds, this is it! It is absolutely delicious, and the dishes are very unique and inventive. I went for dinner with the a la carte menu, and I’m so excited to try the lunchtime yum cha. Do yourself a favour and GO! :)

An excellent meal in a secluded location - Edit
A real surprise to find an upscale vegan restaurant like this in a secluded part of central Sydney. Set below street level near Hyde Park, Bodhi has a relaxing area outside where you can enjoy a pre-dinner beer or cocktail and then you move inside to the cosy small restaurant. Bookings are recommended and can be fairly last minute. We made an online booking only a couple of hours before turning up.
Read moreFood was all surprising, beautifully presented and very tasty. Portions are on the smaller size so expect to order quite a few dishes. Extensive beer, cider and wine menu to choose from.
Pros: Secluded, quite setting, Exquisite vegan food, Excellent service

We have eaten here for years until we discovered that they put sugar in all courses. This was told to us by two separate staff. What a shame. Why put it in at all? We know sugar is unhealthy and why add to all courses???

Good but expensive for lunch - Edit
It's a good place for a celebration style meal. Quite a few options.
Read moreCan be a bit repetitive on what they bring out, and if you get there late you may be short of options. Didn't think much to the hotdog buns.
Sweets were good, prawn style dishes were good.
It's hard to keep track of how much you've spent while ordering which is common on yum cha places.

Try the dinner menu! - Edit
I'd been to the yum cha a bunch of times (and always loved it) before finally trying the dinner menu, where it's a la carte. It was totally different and on another level!!! Definitely get the fried chicken. This place is just a Sydney institution, hard to beat.
