Must Go. - Edit
Everything is made in house by a family that’s had these recipes for generations and generations. That alone should blow you away.
Read moreNow I went with seasoned goers of Bodhi Kosher, so I let them do all the ordering and we ordered ample dishes. But every one was a HIT. Everything.
Very lowkey traditional seating inside. Unassuming and accessible. Servers and staff were very friendly and accommodating even to one of our friends who has a severe peanut allergy.
Can’t wait to return.

Excellent vegan dim sum - yum - Edit
This place is great. It’s casual, has excellent options, everyone is courteous and the food is awesome. We got fried dumplings, dry green beans (my fave), a fried rice and a tofu/mushroom dish. Need to return for more steamed dumplings and the noodle dishes!

Amazing lunch menu! - Edit
The lunch menu provides incredible value for money! Small soup, main and green tea. All superb. Friendly service, good portions and so many interesting vegan options! I had the veg meats and basil sauce with brown rice as my main and loved it.

Cheap Flavourful Eats! - Edit
Nothing fancy here but the food was good and standard veg Chinese fare. Reasonably priced and casual. Offers plenty of Dim Sum Options. We found the tofu ribs to be gluey but the tofu corn soup a hit.

Loved it! - Edit
The sweet and sour chicken was just like I remember before I was vegan! The soup dumplings weren’t very soupy but were delicious!

Blown away - Edit
One of the best vegan restaurants I’ve ever been to. The food, atmosphere, and options were exactly like the Chinese restaurants of my childhood except fully vegan. Truly 11/10.

Food was hit and miss - Edit
Some dishes were good (e.g. green beans) but most were not (e.g. bland dumplings). Overall disappointing given how highly it's reviewed.

Distinct flavors - Edit
A friend loves this place so we went for a late lunch and it was phenomenal. Loved the mapo tofu and the buddha's feast, which had a ton of veggies, mushrooms and bean curd. Also amazed at the durian pastry, which was stuffed with durian cream with a crispy exterior. Service was extraordinarily attentive. Truly five stars.

Wowwwww vegan Chinese food that’s next level - Edit
Highly recommend this place. The best veggie dumplings and steamed buns I’ve had! All vegan! So so busy! All tables taken. Makes me so happy to see! I wanted to try so much more but didn’t have the stomach space for it! The staff are lovely too!

Cheap Cheerful Dim Sum - Edit
Possibly one of the least expensive vegan eateries in NYC, the dim sum is great; the lunch specials not so much, but good for an inexpensive lunchtime filler.

This is the best place for Chinese in New York City - Edit
I’ve been here many many times. It’s my wife’s favorite place in New York City. They have a very large varied menu with lots and lots of options. The service is fast and friendly, and I’ve never had a bad meal.

Recommended - Edit
Very good food, friendly and attentive staff, but not much atmosphere. However, the dining room was packed and everyone looked as though they were having a great time. Food was served hot and all flavors were well balanced. Greens could have been cut to bite-sized pieces, but otherwise well done. Recommended and looking forward to a return visit.

Everything is vegan here - Edit
Can’t believe that they have the vegan turnip cake, I’ve been looking for the vegan turnip cake for a long time , because the traditional way always makes the taro cake vegan but turnip cake with shrimp , that’s why I was so excited when I know that they have vegan turnip cake here😄

Unvergleichbar gut - Edit

Great vegan dim sum options. We also got a beef dish off the dim sum (not pictured) but I wouldn’t recommend it. The ribs were amazing though.

Nice meal. Just as good as "the original". Our carnivore friends also enjoyed it. Chopsticks only, she said with a laugh.
