Terrible vegi

The root portion of vegI should threw away and not be included to bulk the dish. It should use the leafy top part of vegi. This dish is the most expensive on the menu. The quality is not good enough.

Pros: Used plums for good sour flavor

Cons: The vegi used is not quality.

Tasty food

Lovely, clean and spacious cafe.
Plenty of choice.
I opted for rice with tofu and veggies in a soy sauce. Very good

Simple, tasty and cheap!

Great value! Friendly and bustling. English translations on menu although the staff on tonight had limited English making it a bit pot luck

Delicious but not fully vegan

Love the food here as you get both quality and quantity. Ordered the kam heong tofu, sambal petai and lor duck and ended up with a full and happy tummy! Happy cow stated that this cafe is fully vegan (i have submitted a request to change this) but being cautious me, i proceeded to check with the owner. He assured me that there are no eggs in any of the food item due to religious reasons but cautioned that some curries contain milk.

Vegan!

I'm sure this place is vegan! They don't use eggs or dairy and it is written very clearly in the menu. We just tried the 'fis and chips' which was actually really yummy. The restaurant itself is a little odd, empty and dated but the staff are friendly and the food is cheap!

Nice but confusing

A confusing menu. As my first time in the restaurant, I found the menu a bit difficult to understand. The menu has no picture or future descriptions, but just the name of the dishes. Cannot expect what to get or the size of the dishes. The dishes is very tasty. A big plus as my RM12 something lunch set come with an fully favor chinese soup. It’s got it’s own parking areas which allow 3 parking places

Lunch plate for 5.80 RM

The menu is very large and a bit confusing and I didn't see the lunch plate advertised anywhere but we asked what another table had ordered because it looked good, and the staff told us it was the 5.80 RM lunch plate. I think it might be the 'Dali - E rice set' on the menu?
The lunch set changes daily and you don't get to choose what you have. It was vegan the day we had it (some dishes on the menu contain dairy milk).
We got a large portion of rice, 4 portions of veggies, a bhaji/pakora type thing and a lotus root soup.
It wasn't the best (some of the veggies overcooked) but it was a large varied portion and great value.

Pros: Friendly helpful staff, Good value lunch set

Cons: Dairy used in some dishes, Expensive

Pretty sure this place is vegan

I'm pretty sure this place is vegan! They have a page in their menu with a list of all the ingredients they don't use (including things like whey, animal protein, lecithin ... even wearing leather or using lanolin!). Food was very nice, they don't use garlic or onion and it is still tasty😄We recommend the bean curd skin (it's like chicken skin), the bihun goreng and the salted vege fried rice. Simple food but yummy and cheap!

Pros: Tasty and possibly vegan, Cheap, Friendly staff

Huge choice

Massive choice of dishes. The Garden Special Curry 'Ramb' was incredible. Have to slightly contradict a previous reviewer. Ordered three dishes and none of them were bland at all, quite the opposite. We did order from the Western menu for our toddler, that was not super exciting in honesty, though he seemed to enjoy it. Decoration is basic, restaurant has a social club vibe. Lots of locals just seemed to be hanging out and knitting. Staff friendly, mega cheap.

Pros: loads of options

Large menu

Only tried 1 dish (mainly reviewing so people know it's still open!)

Honestly it was bland, on the pricy side (12.80 RM), and didn't fill me up. But give it a try, there are lots of choices and I may have just been unlucky.

Most dishes seemed vegan, there was a menu page about forbidden ingredients (similar to jay/chay rules), maybe just be careful of dairy.

Very Friendly Staff!

Open from 10am to 9pm, close on Tuesday.
The building is a double storey house, at the street behind of Luk Yea Yan Vegetarian Restaurant.
You can forget about the sushi.
The nice are mostly nice, especially the mushroom soup and petai bean fried with chili.
