Blue Sake has an entire vegan menu with unique and incredible sushi! There’s also some apps clearly marked vegan. Fun vibe, great patio, and happy hour deals! Definitely check it out!

Best vegan sushi in Chicago - Edit
It’s overwhelming to have so many choices of rolls. Haven’t had one yet that I haven’t liked. Happy hour is daily 3-6 and 12-9 Sundays, and a good portion of the whole menu is discounted. They’re also doing specials for veganuary and this week the tuna tower was half off! So nice to have a sushi place that embraces vegan sushi. Also well marked gluten free options and they were knowledgeable about cross contamination for those with celiac.

Really yummy sushi and there are 20 options all vegan. The staff is very knowledgeable on making things vegan since lots of the options can be made vegan in addition to fully vegan offerings. Everything was really tasty and it’s a great atmosphere!!

Read moreThis place has the biggest selection of vegan sushi that I’ve ever seen from a non-vegan restaurant. There are 20 vegan rolls and also a few vegan starters, such as miso soup and edamame.
I got the Vegan Hot Night, the Prince Roll, and the Vegan Philadelphia. I was shocked at how much the smoked “salmon” on the Philly roll tasted like real salmon. I also enjoyed the “tuna” on the Hot Night, but I never ate raw tuna before going vegan so I cannot attest to its accuracy. The Prince was really good as well.
My only complaint was that the Hot Night lists avocado as an ingredient on the menu, but mine did not have any. I didn’t really miss it since I got plenty of avocado in my Prince Roll, but it’s worth noting.
Overall, great selection of vegan sushi and good quality. I will definitely be ordering from here again in the future.

Can’t make it 5 stars (as you’ll see is true for many of the other reviews). HUGE vegan selection and absolutely the best vegan sushi I’ve ever had. I ate here 3 days in a row when I first discovered it, and I think that speaks for itself.

I like that this place is an option if you have a craving for sushi. It is great that they offer more than just a standard veggie roll, and have several vegan friendly appetizers. The rolls are definitely creative and combine interesting flavors. I had the coco hydration drink which was fine : I don’t think it was really worth the $5. The Brussels sprouts appetizer was good. My 2 rolls that I ordered were pretty good and reasonably priced. I think this is a good option for vegan sushi

What an unexpected and fun gem! I usually only go to fully vegan spots when I’m in a city, but this one came so highly recommended by friends and I’m so glad I took them up on it! I’m not used to being so satisfied by vegan sushi outside of Los Angeles! Boasting a whole slew of vegan maki and nigiri, some great share plates, and even some vegan desserts - you can imagine our delight when we walked in only to find out Sundays are their all day happy hour including most of the amazing vegan options! We took full advantage.

Some of the most white washed sushi I've ever tasted. It wasn't bad per say but it definitely wasn't great. The vegan tuna tower was the only redeeming thing about their vegan options.

There were 18 vegan maki rolls on the menu! They also had vegan options for starters and shared plates. Everything we had was great: vegan lettuce wraps, and then Shitaake to me, Cowgirl, unami express, and black dragon rolls (all were vegan).
