A little way off the beaten track but it was worth the trek.

It was quite isolated, but worth the trek. We saw monkeys on the way there. Food was great and quite an extensive menu.

Pros: Everything made fresh to order , Quiet we were the only ones there, Food delish

Cons: A little off beaten track but that’s not a con.

Food was ok

I had a lot of expectations from this place after seeing all the reviews but it turned out ok.
First thing, the place is off the main road and not an easy find. It was quiet nested in a homely area. The service was ok ( probably a smile on the person serving food would help). And the food was ok too.

Best food in goa

This gem is hard to find but soo worth it. There was only one lady serving us and cooking, so we had to wait for our food. But man, that was the best chocolate cake I had in my whole life. Rest was delicious also. And the people there are super nice!

Pros: Great food, Prices are not that high

Cons: Very hard to find, Strange sounds coming from the surronding jungle

Food good quality and tasty, chilled and peaceful setting

Nice place to enjoy some vegan food. However, a lot of items contain honey, eggs and diary. Sign outside is misleading and incorrect. Beautiful surroundings. Our young male server was very disinterested in us and working.

Pros: Food tasty and healthy. Vegan options.

Cons: Not easy to get to, too expensive, not all vegan.

Great Food, OK price

Please note: although the entrance says vegan cafe. It is not a vegan cafe. They sell chicken's eggs, cow's milk and bee's honey. I found this annoying.

The cafe is located quite a way from anywhere but it's not too hard to get to. We got a bus from Paloem which was cheap. Then a short walk which is fine. The setting is nice and relaxing.

For drinks we had a beetroot, banana and coconut juice and a grape and lemon juice . Both were lovely. They were quite small for the price however.

For breakfast we both had the scrabbled tofu. One came with peanut butter and apples and one didn't (which we asked for). Both were really tasty and worth the price.

Service was OK. Not good or bad.

Pros: Good food & smoothies, Will fill water bottles to save plastic

Cons: Small smoothies, Vegan items not clearly marked, Says "vegan cafe" when it's not

One of the best restaurants ever!

Love this place so much. I stayed in Agonda for more than 3 months and went there every day! It's was so nice to finally find a restaurant which offers tasty and fresh vegan food.

The food is really amazing. Definitely the best place in India and one of the best restaurants I've been to. They offer amazing salads, smoothies, great tofu dishes, pancakes and really good vegan chocolate cake. Also, most of the vegetarian dishes can be made vegan. I especially like pumkin fritters and mango treat smoothie :)
The owners and the staff are really professional and helpful and the location is very beautiful and quiet. You can watch monkeys sitting in the trees while you eat:)
Definitely recommend this place to everyone. It's a must visit if you are in the area.

Pros: amazing vegan food, nice location, helpfull staff

Cons: not entirely vegan

best meal in India.

Woah - what a place! Had a tofu steak with avocado cream, sweet potatoes, and a homemade millet chapati. It was divine. Best meal I've had in India - highly recommended!!

One of the best restaurants in India

We were ecstatic to discover Blue Planet.

The sweet folks who own and run the place make it magical, and that is due in equal parts to the creative cuisine and their warm personalities.

Blue Planet serves inspired dishes, including many original inventions. The diverse menu includes meals, soups, salads, snacks, desserts, and a generous selection of juices, smoothies, and other drinks. Almost everything can be made vegan. Even the lassi can be made with soy yoghurt, which was a real treat.

The salads are a must-have, for two reasons. First, they soak the salad ingredients in an antimicrobial solution to make them completely safe. (This is a big deal, because simply washing the greens with boiled/filtered water, as many other restaurants do, does not make them bacteriologically safe.) Second, they really know how to make a tasty salad. Their flair for flavor applies to their salads as well as their cooked meals.

We were told that they're currently using about 20% organic ingredients, and hoping to increase the percentage as more becomes available locally.

We ate here half a dozen times, trying as many different things as possible, and everything we had was great.

Our favorites:
- Flax noodles with avocado pesto
- Avocado salad
- Vegan strawberry lassi
- Vegan avocado shake

Also especially good:
- Tofu sticks with pineapple sauce
- Stuffed "mufa" (big dumpling)
- Vegan carrot cake with chocolate sauce.

Moderate prices, fair considering the quality of the food.

It's located in the forest above Agonda beach and would be a long walk on foot, but those who make the journey will be well rewarded. (We rented a scooter, which makes it quite easy.)

Highly recommended! :-)

Pros: Exceptionally creative cuisine, Very vegan-friendly, Great people

Grrrrreat!

Wow! In the middle of the jungle there's a restaurant and they offer pure vegetarian meals with such interesting combinations. It's not indian at all. It's very much europian/western. They have tofu, lasagna ... and so many juices. The owner is great - he can explain everything to you and if you want to complicate your order he will take it and deliver.
He told me they were before on Palolem beach but it got too busy and they moved to this jungle just little above Agonda beach. It's quiet, calm and relaxing. While waiting for the food you can chill with a smoothie of some sort or a "power juice". Incredible. There's also a house cat that will ask for some food when it wakes up, but will not take tofu or seitan coming from your plate - it eats only fish - so it will stay hungry be cause they have none. =)
So, Blue Planet is the perfect getaway for evey day lunch if you're relaxing on Agonda. The beach itself is peaceful and so beautiful and than you just take a ride (rikshaw lets say) up to BP an chill out some more with good healthy food. All in all it will cost you about the same if you would eat on the beach.
I went there twice and the second time I ate so much I was fasting for next 2 days.

Pros: delicious, very friendly, lower prices

Cons: not on the beach, long waiting, small parking space

Liked it a lot

I really liked Blue Planet. We went there twice and each time the food was great & the staff were very friendly. I had a banana, vanilla & soya milk smoothie which was fab and the organic avocado salad with tofu scramble which was very tasty. The only downer is the location it's hard to reach without your own transport - the first time we used the infrequent bus service and the second we hired a scooter.

Pros: good healthy food, soya smoothies, vegan cake

Cons: location - need own transport

One of the best restaurants

This restaurant is fantastic. Almost vegan, and aiming for veganism. Owned by a lovely local Indian family who speak great English. They make soy milk from organic beans(apparently - but I am not certain) and soy yoghurt and tofu. This is the only place I've been able to get a vegan mango lassie in India. The strawberry soy lassie is also wonderful. The tofu is a bit bland but all the dishes come with amazing dips, hummus, dressings, pesto etc. There is a great range of raw salads and juices and the water is fine. I drank it the whole time I was in Goa and didn't get sick. There are vegan cakes as well, some gluten and sugar free. Blue Planet is moving to a new location soon where it will become even better and hopefully all vegan!

Pros: vegan cakes, vegan yoghurt, fresh salads

Cons: not 100% vegan
