Lots of options - Edit

After emailing them about the ingredients in their breads & baked goods regarding the use of refined sugar, this was the response I got:

“We use all natural and organic flour in our bread
Most bread do not include sweeteners of any kind (Rye, S.F sour dough. Peruvian sour dough, cracked wheat sour dough (also a multi grain bread) Ciabatta, raisin pecan etc are all vegan and without sugar We use organic agave nectar to sweeten most of our vegan pasties. Bagels use barley malt
We use honey in our Whole wheat and multi grain bread and cinnamon swirl bread
( We understand the controversy of calling "honey" "Vegan")
My ingredient suppliers maintain that Bone char is an older technology that is being slowly replaced and not commonly distributed to to New England area.”

my favorite breakfast place - Edit

I have been going to this place for years, even before i went vegan and the transition at this restaurant has been almost seamless.

Pros: lots of vegan options, staff is happy to make adjustments

Cons: no lists of ingredients for bagels

Tasty bagels with a lot of vegan topping options. If the owner is around let her know you’re vegan so they realize the demand for the products. The vegan biscotti is amazing with a cup of tea. I’ve never really been a fan of chia pudding and theirs has made me a convert.

Grab a power cookie on the way out.
