Ruined Thanksgiving - Edit
I'm in disbelief at how awful this restaurant is. I'd chosen Blue Heron/Ojo specifically because they label vegan options on the menu. I ordered a vegan breakfast burrito. Two of the guests in our party ordered turkey plates, simple enough. They brought out my burrito smothered in cheese (obviously not vegan). After sending it back, they delivered a new one with eggs inside--still not vegan! By the time my order was at last corrected, on the third attempt, everyone else had reluctantly picked at their disappointing meals and were mostly done. My long-awaited burrito lacked any seasoning, containing only giant tofu cubes and raw-looking hash browns, which weren't browned.

Limited but high quality - Edit
On our visit here during the dinner time there were very few vegan options—an entree and some appetizers—but they were so well done. I would definitely check the menu ahead of time before making the trek out. It sounds like at other times they have more options.
Read moreUpdate: went there for brunch—more vegan items than dinner! Breakfast burrito, vegan huevos rancheros, tacos, and suped up oatmeal with nuts, berries, and agave.

Vegans will be pleasantly stuffed here - Edit
I know chef Rocky Durham is married, and so am I, but sometimes I have wandering taste buds... This is Santa Fe's best option for vegan fine dining. There are no hiccups to being vegan here. Vegan options are standard on the menu and clearly labeled. Staff knows what the word means. Everything comes out of the kitchen without an issues and we pretty much lick our plates clean. Do check the website because it's all true farm to table and the menu changes to adjust to what is seasonal and available at the farm. However, we think it's all so reliably good that we just show up and know that we'll be taken good care of.

Cons: Too expensive to go every day, more of a treat, This place really ought to be 50%+ vegan

It depends... - Edit
We have been several times, but the menu changes so it is hit or miss, and usually missing protein. The tamales are wonderful when they have them. Other times a smoothie counts as one of the few vegan brunch options. There is no direct number and it can be hard to reach them. They are not consistent in open hours.

Cons: Few options

Great option if you’re at the spa - Edit
We were at the spa so it made sense to stay for dinner. Many vegan options and they are clearly marked. I thought it was fairly expensive (guacamole for $15, and that was the lowest item). I ordered a vegetable curry rice bowl which was recommended from my waiter and I was disappointed, it had no flavor at all, weird since curry is a vibrant flavor. I think I would have been happier with another option though since there were so many and the chef is supposed to be one of the best in the area. Menu is very healthy so they have that going for them.

Some of the best gourmet vegan options in all of Santa Fe - Edit
Super vegan friendly with vegan options clearly marked on the menu. Friday and Saturday nights have a three-course vegan tasting menu too! we've eaten there twice now and I've loved both meals. Some highlights include the soba noodle bowl, the green chili vegan burger and the three sisters tamales. Not to be missed is the celery root soup! The small drive is totally worth it and the spot is pretty great too.
