Omg. I had the best vegan food of my life here in October 2022 - Edit
Wow! I had the best food ever here. I started with the hearts of palm marinated salad which was the appetizer. The one thing I forgot to take a photo of!! Then I got the fava bean pesto pasta and oh my god was that the best pasta I have ever had. And it was vegan! Not to mention the desert!!! It was crème brûlée🥹 which was something so special for me because I’ve been vegan for almost 8 years and I haven’t had that since I went vegan. I was amazing at the quality and the options at the restaurants yes there was only one option for each part of the meal, but each option was 10/10! So you have to be wanting pasta and crème brûlée to really get the full enjoyment out of the food here but I highly highly suggest it. Always something I wanted to do and I was sooo sooo happy that I loved the food. I would have sat there and ate a undressed salad just to enjoy the atmosphere but boy was I in for a treat. For sure stop here if you can!! We did manage to get a walk in!
Read moreUpdate- unfortunately they changed the recipe of the noodle dish. It was one of the best pesto pastas I had ever had. Now ifs basically like oiled and salted pasta. Looks like the name pasta but different sauce. Which is very unfortunate. I wish they hadn’t of taken it away, especially when it costs the same as it used to. Love the atmosphere but the food will not bring me back soon unfortunately. But will definitely keep an eye out if anyone goes to try it. It’s a super famous restaurant and the vibes are unmatched. So I will come back again, most definitely for that vegan creme brulee!!

Delicious vegan food - Edit
The server was very attentive and as well as explaining the vegan menu showed how to modify other dishes. Shared a salad to start and they put the cheese on the side as my husband had that. The main was the most delicious pesto pasta with pistachio, absolutely gorgeous. The dessert was vegan creme brûlée which was out of this world. Would love to go back.

One of the best DLR meals! - Edit
Blue Bayou has both amazing ambiance and a fantastic vegan menu. The starter was a delightful light watermelon salad, the main was a delicious pasta, and the crème brûlée was beyond impressive! You can tell they put effort into making some really tasty plant based dishes. Plus they refilled our mint julips multiple times. Totally worth the higher cost for the food and for dining inside pirates of the Caribbean. I recommend making reservations ahead of time but we also saw people joining the walk up list easily

Wonderful! - Edit
All the vegan options we tried were fantastic, especially the creme brulee! Was a LITTLE annoyed that we made a reservation, but still had to wait half an hour to be seated, but it was worth the wait.

Great atmosphere and enticing vegan options - Edit
I love the atmosphere of the Blue Bayou and was so happy that they had a vegan starter, entrée, and an exciting dessert option, the vegan crème brûlée! That's hard to come by anywhere, let alone in Disneyland! It was very good. I also really liked both the starter and the entrée. As a matter of personal preference, I often find the food at upscale restaurants unnecessarily "complicated" in the way they mix flavors, but I thought the flavors in these were combined very nicely, even for someone with (admittedly) a not-too-sophisticated palete! The starter was heirloom tomato and watermelon salad, and the entree was pistachio lemon basil pasta. Yum!

Vegan starter, entrée and dessert! - Edit
Wow, what an amazing experience this place is! From the food to the atmosphere, everything was perfect! We initially had reservations for Cafe Orleans, but unfortunately, they had to close down for the day. However, Blue Bayou kindly accommodated us despite our lack of reservations, and we're so grateful we got to experience it on our last day in Disneyland. They offer a vegan option for the starter (Heirloom Tomato & Watermelon Salad), entrée (Lemon Basil Pasta), and dessert (Crème Brûlée). I ordered the pasta and the crème brûlée, and both were absolutely delicious! But what truly sets this place apart, in my opinion, is the ambiance and decor. The establishment is beautifully decorated to create an outdoor, nighttime atmosphere, and being able to see people on their "boats" enjoying the Pirates of the Caribbean ride only enhances the overall experience. The service was prompt, and the staff was incredibly attentive and friendly. I've heard that getting reservations here can be challenging, so if you plan on dining here, I highly recommend making reservations well in advance. All in all, it was a truly memorable experience, and I can't wait to return!

WOW! Fantastic meal! - Edit
We were beyond impressed with the vegan options on the dinner menu. We started with an heirloom tomato watermelon salad, main course was a vegetable pasta dish and crème brûlée for dessert! If you can get reservations- I highly recommend! Disneyland is upping their vegan options!

Go for ambiance, not the food - Edit
First time I went we each had the only vegan option- Vegan/Gluten-Free pasta. The pasta was mushy, veggies overcooked and sauce was watery. For $30 each it was totally not worth it. The second time I went, my friend ordered a non-vegan meal and I just had the mint julep (bottomless) and splurged on adding the light-up “ice” cube (which you can take home). Just going for the ambiance was fun. We requested a water table. They say it may add wait time, but we still were seated before our original reservation time. It is fun to watch the Pirates boats go by.

Best pasta option in the park - Edit
I thought their vegetable pasta was the most flavorful sauce in the park and they even had an off-menu vegan dessert upon request. Highly recommend, especially for the ambience

Only 1 dinner option on the menu - Edit
The only option was a vegan pasta that was comparable to a low to mid level chain restaurant.

Not great vegan options. - Edit
I went back in June 2018. There were no vegan options on the menu, but I read you can ask for the vegan options. I’m not a fan of mushrooms, so that was out the door. The pasta had cheese, and wasn’t very vegan friendly. I asked if they could make it vegan, and if the pasta had egg or not. The pasta was vegan, and it came with a tomato sauce, asparagus, and mushrooms. It was decent, I liked the mint julep better though!

Visiting 04/05/2019, option change - Edit
The menu didn’t have the options listed, like the portibello. Our server was very helpful and offered to alter their vegetable pasta for me using a different pasta and only veggie toppings. 👌🏻 the veganized pasta was lovely!

Fantasmic package 3 course meal - Edit
They can do each course vegan, which is excellent, the meal was good. The chef comes out and talks you through the vegan options. The value isn’t great, it is a lot of money for the vegan courses, but the fantasmic seating makes it worthwhile.

Not the best food, but very Disney ambience - Edit
Honestly, I was not crazy about the only vegan dish on the menu. The portabellas were rubbery and the rest of the dish was mediocre. Not much protein in the dish either. The service was average, polite but rushed.

The mushroom and rice dish is fantastic and vegan as is! No dessert options, but it's Disneyland so get a Dole Whip or something afterwards.

vegan friendly! - Edit
They only have a mushroom-based meal on the menu, but if you tell them you're vegan, they'll tell you what other options may be available that night. I had a great veggie pasta dish one night. I typically don't like mushrooms, but on my first night here, I did order that dish and it was pretty great. They're very happy to accommodate vegans.
