Loved all the options. Both tasted and filling. We had the peppers, gnocchi and spaghetti squash tower. All were delicious and satiating.

Underwhelming - Edit
More of a 3.5 but was underwhelmed by the nachos, the pasta, and the tiramisu. I prefer Peacefood.

Fine Dining Near Union Square - Edit
My boyfriend and I used to enjoy Blossom when it was on 9th Street in Chelsea. They've since closed down some restaurants and now have two locations, one on Columbus (on the Upper West Side) and one on University just south of Union Square. Whereas the old Blossom was in a fairly dark space, the now location is well-lit and airy.
Read moreThe menu is divided into shareable bites (like the lovely garlic bread we had), small plates, medium plates, and large plates. We also split a Caesar salad with shiitake bacon; the parsnip ravioli, which was very good, but could have used a sauce; and the seitan piccata, which had a bold lemon flavor that I loved.
The food was as delicious as I remember from the old place, and the service also nice. I definitely want to come back to Blossom the next time I'm in New York.
Pros: Delicious food, good service
Cons: It is expensive

Love it - Edit
Same menu as the other location. I think the tacos are overpriced for what they are, but still good. Everything else great.

Vegan Fine Dining - Edit
This location (replacing their stalwart 9th ave space) is a lot more like their UWS locations in design aesthetic. Modern, clean lines, but it is LOUD. My father is hard of hearing and it became tough to talk after the 7pm dinner rush filtered in. For those who remember the 9th ave spot, we weren't quite as close to the neighboring tables, but still elbow to elbow.
Read moreThe food, fortunately, has remained untouchable. I have dreams about their cashew cream ravioli -- if it disappeared I would be heartbroken. The spaghetti squash cake with risotto was so good that I ate the leftovers for breakfast the next morning cold. I probably could've eaten 2 of their caesar salads. They did change the way they are either making or sourcing their seitan, and I did not like it quite as much as in times past, but it's still miles beyond anything else available now that candle cafe is gone.
The service was okay. We had to look around asking for more water. We didn't get everything we ordered (we over ordered anyway). At the end of the day, it was a good meal, but for the fine dining prices, I wish they put a little more into making the experience feel special too.
Pros: the food - you cannot go wrong with anything
Cons: atmosphere is not so "fine dining", service was not really attentive

BEST TIRAMISU I HAVE EVER HAD IN MY LIFE - Edit
The Seitan Piccata is INCREDIBLE I could eat it forever. The potatoes and kale that come with it are to die for. GET THE TIRAMISU, it is so good I come to NYC just to have it.

Favorite vegan restaurant - Edit
So happy they reopened in this area of NYC after closing in Chelsea. Their food is delicious. The staff is excellent. Outdoor seating is a dream. Excited to see what they do with the interior. It used to be another famed vegetarian restaurant called Nix that had cool ambiance. I’m sure it will continue to look rad as Blossom.

Good service and beautiful food - Edit
Impressed by the professional service of the stuff. Their lasagna was huge and filling with rather sour tomato sauce. Also liked the smokiness of their beet marinated grilled tofu.
