Almost Five… - Edit
We celebrated our farewell dinner here after a five week stay in Paris. This second branch is cozier and friendlier than our first visit to their flagship in Wagram.
Read moreFor the Maki spring rolls, we enjoyed the Enoki, Philadelphia, and Nasu Miso Flambee (these are their gluten-free options). My brother and cousin who are omnivores loved the Ebi fry and Mr. Crunch. They also had the Tofu forest and Soba salads which were equally delicious and flavorful.
I would've given them a five star review if only they provided Tamari for gluten free customers. I brought my own after our first visit to Wagram.
I still highly recommend this place and would eat here again on my next visit.

Beautiful food with relaxing ambience - Edit
We ordered the double menu, which included gyoza, sushi, miso soup, and edamame beans, along with desserts like banana cream (pretty tasty). The presentation was spot-on, and everything was absolutely delicious: fresh and creative food, with lots of flavours.
Read moreWhile sushi dominates the menu, they also serve other appetizers like tempura, and arancini, providing more variety for diners. Let's not forget about the alcohol menu which offers refreshing cocktails and beer as well as saké.
The wooden, relaxing décor added to the overall ambiance, making it a pleasant dining experience. Highly recommended for both the quality of food and the atmosphere!

There are so many wonderful options to try, I can’t imagine you could go wrong. The standout favorite was the kimbap sushi and chocolate fondant.

Great vegan sushi ! - Edit
I ordered the Simple Menu which is an entrée then gyozas and a sushi assortment. Staff was great and also the setting and decorations were a nice touch.
Read morePortion wise, the edamame entrée was huge but the rest was just right for one standard person. I personally could have eaten twice the gyozas and sushi but that would have been gluttony haha 😂
They really tried to come up with some nice and unique flavors which you can tell, I loved every bit on my plate. My favorite are the futo makis and the Mr Crunch maki. The gyozas were really nice, especially the sauce which was exquisite!
I paid 38€ for all that, which is a lot of money, but that's the only downside of this place in my opinion.
Pros: Mr Crunch , Futomakis , Staff
Cons: Steep price

Food was lovely - everything so tasty. We had double menu. Drinks were lovely. Only thing is we felt a bit rushed - bill came straight after we ate without asking for it.

Amazing combinations of flavors - Edit
The most special sushi I’ve ever had, it was such an interesting combination of flavors. Truly an amazing culinary experience! Keep in mind the portions are quite small, but that’s only a great excuse to try multiple dishes!

Wonderful sushi place - Edit
Having been to the first location several times, this one didn't disappoint.
Read moreActually, I liked it more, because of the atmosphere, which I found more welcoming (this location is smaller).
Their sushi is very good, you can get all sorts of makis, including some with buckwheat noodles instead of rice. Several appetizers are also on the menu such as gyozas, tempura or arancini.
Desserts are not their strongest point but the banana/caramel cream I had was not bad at all!
So, if you haven't been to Bloom yet and you want to try it, I'd suggest reserving a table on this location.
Pros: delicious, nice vibe, good value

A journey trough taste - Edit
Travelling is fun. It relaxes the mind and enriches the soul. But how about travelling trough taste? That's what you can expect at Bloom Sushi in Paris.
Read moreThe place looks beautiful and welcoming. The menu is both in French and English and the staff speaks either language. We opted for the "a bit of everything surprise meal" to sample all items on the menu. This starts with either edamame or miso soup. The taste of the miso soup is very good, even Japanese would not distinguish it from miso with fish broth! The gioza is a bit on the fatty side, as it is fried and not baked on one side as usual. The stuffing is very tasty indeed.
The main plate of sushi is presented beautifully and the waiter will explain what every variation is. And that's the attraction here: variation. Every bite is a surprise, an explosion of taste and a wonderful mixture of textures. While fish based sushi all has the same basic flavour, plant based sushi offers a far wider variety and Bloom makes the best out of it.
Bloom doesn't try to mimic the taste of fish or meat, but creates its own unique pallette which in the end is much richer (and healthier, and cruelty free). Although not cheap, this journey trough taste is certainly worth the price!
Pros: rich in taste and variety, all vegan, cozy, stylish place
Cons: limited seating (around 20 seats?), kitchen closed strictly at 10 pm (even when busy)

Vegan date night - Edit
Plant-based sushi done right!
Read moreWe've had a few Chef Christian Ventura restaurant experiences in Montréal so of course we were excited to see Bloom in Paris!
We're glad we ordered the omakase so we could try a little bit of everything. This location's offerings aren't as creative as Montréal, but that is totally fine with us. The food was excellent, fresh and perfect portions for us.
Cute little restaurant. Modern look. Clean bathrooms. Nice service. Tasty sushi. This vegan is happy! We'll be back...
Merci, Bloom Sushi!
Cons: Hard to find (they have multiple locations)

Not as blooming as it sounds - Edit
We were the first to arrive to our reserved table for dinner; the welcoming was warm, as well as the lovely interior. Soon, the small restaurant got full, busy and as the tables are set very close to each other, it became uncomfortably loud, making it difficult to have a conversation. And I’m Spanish and used to vivid places… We opted for the Menu Omakase. The edamame and miso soup were very standard in taste, and the gyozas quite salty. The sushi board was beautifully presented, however it left much to be desired. The rice was on the dry side and the nori sheets were unusually tough for sushi, making eating very chewy and not enjoyable. Also the compositions sounded amazing, but weren’t executed good enough. The spinach used in some rolls for instance was watery, subtracting the flavours of the other components. The pesto of the Popeye futomaki on the contrary omitted all other aroma, being extremely salty. When ordering dessert, the waitress told us, that the mochis weren’t iced, as they normally serve it. We thought they'd be then like regular daifukus, chose the caramel almond filling and the consistency made me think that it probably shouldn’t be offered when not being frozen. The banana cream with caramel crunch was likewise an unimpressive ending. What I liked best was the delightful mocktail with raspberry purée and yuzu. During the whole evening, I was empathising with the friendly, yet overwhelmed waitress, who repeatedly apologised for the slow service and for forgetting things, as she was by herself and not only serving the tables, but also preparing the drinks. At the end, it took 10 minutes to get the bill since we asked for it and another 15 to be able to pay, nonetheless only because we finally decided to get up. I believe high ratings of this place are due to how fancy everything looks, how hip this place seems to be, the joy of everything being vegan, which makes me give them an extra star, and perhaps the lacking experience of how perfect sushi may taste, if excellently prepared. Somehow, I'd love to think that maybe, it was just one exceptional messed-up day for this branch. Even so, according to what I encountered, I have to say that this venue still needs a lot of improvement.

Amazing sushi place ! - Edit
The food was absolutely delicious ! The thing is I didn't really know what I was eating, the combination of flavours makes the sushis so unique ! The decoration is on point too. I recommend the Umeshu (plum alcohol) typical from Japan, if you like sweet alcohol.

Bittersweet experience - Edit
Sushi was spot on, place very nice, amazing experience...BUT the price. I realized they charged me 16 euro more when I was leaving, I sent an email, they never reply. I was not expecting a refund or anything, I know it is my responsibility to check the ticket when still in the restaurant and not once left...but at least a reply would have been thoughtful and attentive.
