Best Bagel-Coffee Duo in Cambridge/Somerville - Edit
I might argue that this is the best coffee-bagel combination in the Camberville area! I often find myself with a toasted everything bagel w/ avocado and an iced coffee from Bloc during a WFH coffeeshop day or on the weekends post-MOTA yoga session.
Read moreBloc's outside patio/courtyard area is a perfect place to meet up with friends on a sunny weekend morning and even great for solo-reading adventures. There is always a smiling face around :))))
Pros: Everything Bagel w/ Avo, Vegan Club Sandwich, Oatmilk at the coffee-dressing bar

Sweet cafe with plenty of vegan drinks & food - Edit
My favorite cafe in Somerville! Bloc has a huge outdoor patio perfect for a morning coffee or meeting for lunch. Most (if not all) coffee drinks can be made with soy, almond, or oat m*lks. The vegan club sandwich is EXCELLENT - stacked high with tofu, tempeh, avocado, chipotle “mayo” and veggies! Other tasty vegan options include the avocado toast and bagel w/ tofutti. The bagels even have seasonings on both sides!

awesome place - Edit
I got the vegan club and it was totally delicious. Lots of the drinks have vegan substitutions and there were a few dishes that were vegan besides the club sandwich. The service was relatively quick and the area was very cute!

Vegan options are getting better - Edit
In the past year or so they’ve put soy milk out (so you don’t have to ask for it), they’ve been a lot more dependable with having tofutti cream cheese (they used to constantly run out), and offer a vegan pumpkin bread pastry that is really good and occasionally some other pastries. They could really stand to realize that they’re in Somerville and vegans want to eat there.

Not vegan-friendly - Edit
As far as coffee shops go, the options are sparse. They can accommodate a vegan, but none of their menu items (including salads) are vegan by default. They do have soy milk & plenty of animal-free drink options, but foodwise, there's not much; other coffee shops do better. They have bagels, some modifiable salads/sandwiches & occasionally a vegan soup.
Read moreFor just drinks & hanging out, this place is grand, but for food, you're better off elsewhere (e.g., the Thai place a block away, Sweet Ginger or similar).
Pros: Large, nice atmosphere
Cons: Not vegan-friendly
