Vegan AND gluten free

As a vegan and gluten free girly, I am so happy this exists. The Caesar salad was super good. The burgers and sandwiches are pretty good, but a little dry and small for the price. I didn’t get the chance to try their desserts, but they looked and smelt amazing.

Good desserts, but not my go-to

This place has changed ownership and locations over the years. I’ve enjoyed their kale Caesar and their desserts are great (one of the best vegan brownies I’ve had, and I’ve tried a lot in different countries). My friend ordered a custom cake for her wedding, which was awesome, and I’ve special ordered their Christmas cookies. Unfortunately, most of their take-away freezer/fridge options have been disappointing. Cooking directions are not accurate — I once baked a pot pie for 3x longer than it said to, and it still had raw, crunchy potatoes inside. I also tried their stuffed peppers which were fine, but it’s weird that they don’t label the ingredients on the cook at home items (which I’m pretty sure they are required to do) — hopefully that’s changed. The entire time I was eating the stuffed peppers, I had no idea what was in the filling (I was just curious what the “meat” was). Luckily I don’t have any allergies, and they avoid the most common allergens in their food. Their burgers and pizza are fine, but I prefer bonobo’s burgers and a more traditional pizza crust.

Super friendly and accommodating

I have never been here physically. But I have a dear friend who lives in Thunderbay and since I can’t travel because of COVID I ordered her a birthday cheesecake vegan and glutenfree and it was perfect. Can’t wait to be here in person.
And they are open and in their new location.

What a tasty surprise

I wasn’t expecting to find a vegan restaurant in Thunder Bay but thanks Happy Cow, I did. Bliss is a lovely place, the food is tasty and the owner is the kindest. I came two times in two days and would have come again if I wasn’t just passing by on my road trip.

Good cafe food

Enjoyed lunch here on a cold day: soup n salad, tea n dessert. I really liked my kale caesar salad and lemon coconut tart.
It's a small place with wraps, burgers, soups, and salads.

Rawr!!

This is a mostly raw vegan cafe. It's quiet and small with a select menu but very tasty dishes. The soup was sort of the usual carrots, onion, celery. It was the pizza that really tasted great. It has a creamy sauce. No this is a raw vegan pizza so it's much different than you'd expect but it's good. It has wifi too and feel free to chill out in there. There girls are very respectful.

Pros: Pizza

Cons: portions

Delicious!!!

The food here is fantastic. It was such a treat to find a place with fresh delicious vegan gluten free options on my cross Canada trip. My only caveat is that the food prep takes a while so be prepared to wait.

Pros: Tasty , Affordable , Fresh

Cons: Long wait

Bliss is Blessed!

The food is amazing, super fresh and tasty. However, the people here made the experience for me. The former owner, Helen, is such a sweet and genuine person and the new owner, Melissa, is the exact same but younger. I'm excited to have seen them grow and expand when I visit Thunder Bay again!

Well worth the visit

This was the best vegan burger! I truly enjoyed the flavour and texture. Their soup of the day was a curry carrot and it was perfect for the rainy day.

Pros: very friendly , fairly priced

Cons: not open for breakfast

Quaint café with huge selection of raw goodies

This is a cute café with an eclectic vibe! We arrived right when they opened & were looking for breakfasty-type food. I ordered a smoothie and got a raw key-lime tart as well. My hubbie ordered an Americano and a date square. After chatting with staff member John, he also ordered "toast" using their burger bun and adding some fresh local-made jam. All was fresh & delicious! They have an entire display case filled with raw vegan treats! I regret not taking a picture. Would've liked to go back to try more but were only in town for the weekend.

Pros: Fresh-made food, Amazing selection of raw goodies, Friendly & helpful staff

Good Food Poor Service

We were travelling through the area and we're excited to try this place. We showed up about 25 min before close on Sunday. We went in knowing they were closing soon and asked if we could order something still. They said yes so we assumed we were staying. We sat down after ordering our soups. She put them in take out containers and we were like oh well I guess we are getting it to go? She said nothing. So we took our soup to go slightly annoyed. We purposely ordered something we knew would be quick and easy. It was 5 dollars for the soup and it didn't even come with bread. It was served in a small coffee cup. The soup was very tasty which is why I gave three stars and it was really nice in there I wish we could have stayed. My soup was slightly warm and my boyfriends soup was cold. I don't usually like to give bad reviews :( sorry guys but the service was lacking today. Maybe they were just having an off day :( ... Still I would go back again if I was in the area because it tasted really good and was fully vegan.

Pros: awesome food , all vegan and some raw , really cute cozy place

Cons: kicked out before closing when we wanted to eat in, cold food

super friendly

we arrived 20 minutes before closing on sunday (6pm). They told us to get whatever, and that we could stay as long as we wanted "they had a lot to do" we ordered the curry lentil salad which was really great. I loved the sprouted lentils on top. the cashew mayo was fantastic. then had pizza for a main dish. got some birch sap chaga tea to go. the desserts were great. we had carrot cake and chocolate raspberry cake. both were amazing. the black bean brownies was great as well. can't wait to go back. totally worth the drive. such friendly service.

Pros: all vegan!, super friendly

Great personal service

A must try if you like friendly small town service in a large city. Excellent raw food prepared with loving attention. Especially liked the pizza and sugarless sweets.

Pros: nice friendly atmosphere, tasty food, healthy selections
